Morning all, 64 going up to 77 and sunny.
So dry that I spent more time watering. Many smaller trees are stressed. About .25" of rain in 2 months. Usually September starts the wet season.

Got the weedwacker out and ran it around the trench and other areas to knock down the taller grasses. No need to mow anything.

Took Dog to peddlars village for her walk and social time. Lots of people and lots of dogs, so she was happy.
They had a brit cars show, fun watching all the old minis, MG. AustinHealeys and triumphs drive by.

Today off to get some fresh apples. Maybe do some trim work and some more watering. Arm is doing pretty well, so now playing catchup.

Drew - time for some rear suitcase weights on the RV?

BEF - all the lantern flies disappeared here, it seems the birds and spiders found them tasty. Took them a few years to figure it out. It would be nice if something would go after the stink bugs now.
Reminds me, almost time to rebuild my firepit!

Hard to get pictures with the dog on one arm trying to keep moving. She will sit, until someone walks over to pet her, than all discipline goes away.

Good morning! Low of 53°, heading up to 78°....
The high hit 89° yesterday, ten degrees hotter than forecast. No rain at all in the 7 day.

Good weather for the balloon fiasco... I mean fiesta... Should be highs in the 70's all week.

Drew, you must have pulled all the California heaters by drafting.....
NE NM is notorious for wind / gusts. They should lighten up once you get out of the area. Unfortunately, that might take a couple hours of driving. Be safe.

Dennis, if it's any consolation, we are inundated with regular white moths.... can't open a door without them getting in. When you open a car door, a bunch fly out at you. About a week and they should be gone.

Kyle, sorry to hear that you're so busy at work. Hopefully it makes the time go by faster.

Got the planters filled and moistened yesterday, but no completion with plants. Had to hand water the seedlings, they were really dry. By the time that was done, it got too hot....

Didn't do the mulch either. Both are on the agenda to complete today. Drip irrigation is already started.

a disappointing morning, not because of the wind for first half hour, it was manageable by driving 10mph slower. But when I tried to get off in Amarillo to go to the Big Texan, the offramp was closed. Detour sent me all around town trying to get back on service road to 40. I never did. Went around three times, gave up and left without my steak lunch. Oh well. One night in Texas a steak has my name on it.

this place is another gravel campground right off the highway with no one in the office.
but at least no rules, and free washer/dryer. It seems less sketchy than the last one though this morning the campground had half a dozen more visitors.
So....rv is getting a belated bath this afternoon and I might run a load of wash.

I had a wonderful start to today.

washed the rv, worked up a good sweat doing that but needed the exercise.
going to rest for a bit and then head over and check out the free laundry.

and while i'm washing it some yahoo with a jacked up truck and thumping bass rolled out of the campground with a cloud of dust. I dried it off quickly

tomorrow is an under three hour drive East to the Lakepoint rv campground in Valley View. will check in with Mostly and see what's cooking. I need a trip to the supermarket, a haircut, an assist with my rv tv, and the haircut can wait.
And possibly with additional brains on board I can get my new backup camera to work.
it's still back there...

otherwise am looking forward to some quiet time and a cool place in a civilized part of the country. Now if I could find some magnetic cow horns for my rv, I just know I'd fit right in.

lot of police today sitting with speed guns, but no one was driving over 75.
one of the farm to market roads I went on was windy and hilly and I was amazed at
the 75mph speed signs. I could not go over 60.

going to fill up the fridge at WinCo foods in Denton tomorrow before I check in at campground half an hour North. Fruits and veggies primarily.
Mostly, was a choice, I think, between WinCo and Walmart, last time I went to WinCo it was fine. If there's a better place with a big parking lot, I'm all ears.

Been outside day doing leave control finally caught up...whew.
Mrs. decided to take one of rider mower mulch/blow the leaves into woods side field next thing I felt tapping on my shoulder Mrs. said made noise and won't move,started Cub up push down hydro pedal got Kubota tow cub back to shed for further inspection at later date...I have feeling going to winter project in the basement.

Turkeys do not like orange trucks.
We were not liked by a turkey that chased us a block all they way up our driveway to the garage. When he finally left we got out of the truck and he went barking loudly away. Never heard a turkey bark before, must have been an Aggie turkey.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.4C and it's presently 18.9C, partly cloudy with some gusting wind.

Woke up this morning at my regular time but, of course, it was an hour later thanks to the 'Spring forward' time change yesterday. Glad that I'm retired and it doesn't really effect my daily schedule.

I do need to head over to Church and do a wee repair on the bell 'rope' guide. It's something to do within the week. Other than that I'm planning a trip to Launceston for a few 'needful things'.

Good evening all. 63ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Light wind, some increase in cloudiness then cleared off, and high temp was 89ºF. Made coffee to start day, help chapel setup, attend chapel, help tear down chapel, breakfast with group. Deliver dash meals, clean leaves off porch, clean SUV floor, Clean truck floor, clean boat floor, with cool off breaks.
Ron hope you have found all the issues with golf cart. Hope winter garden clean up is going well. Nice cardinal.
Phil sorry garage gasket so hard to replace. Hope you found the energy to do some leaf work. Glad Kubota oil and filter changed.
Drew sorry about the wind, should back off as you get closer to hear, winds less than 10 mph. Hope you had a good drive to Quanah.

Poured first cup of coffee. 51° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63° with partly cloudy skies. Went to check on batteries in golf cart at neighbors. They were using it like there had never been a problem. While there helped fix a problem with their trimmer. Did some conserve energy rest of the day. Need to work on winterizing gardens today.
Not going to be many more days for birds taking a bath at my pond waterfall.
