Just got back from bangkok. Stayed in center point 3 bedroom family suite for about $100/night, right across from terminal 21 which is a huge mall with lots of attractions.
Thanks for the info. She has not made reservations yet in Bangkok so this was timely

Good Morning
51°, sunny and going to almost 80 today.

Yesterday was similar. I got the toilet moved into the old folks home, but not installed. I got side tracked by another project.
The drain on the plasma cutter water table was a fitting that wasn’t flush to the bottom of the pan and only had a 1/4 npt drain. So I used a hydraulic punch to open the hole to 1-15/16 and a homemade die set to form the pan to accept a standard bar sink drain basket.

It worked like a charm, but I ran out of time to finish.
The gig went quite well, audience came and went as we were one attraction on a farm not unlike the one Don is working at, although this one is all about pumpkins, and I’m sure it’s smaller in scale.
The band came back to my place to unload and put everything away afterwards which was a big help.

First thing today will be to get the sprinklers going, the I’ll get the toilet installed, possibly hang some TV’s, maybe go fly the little plane out to lunch somewhere. We’ll see what transpires as the day progresses.

nice morning getting ready to leave, sun coming up with a brilliant red on the horizon, and a little breeze. All systems go, all systems working, for the moment, and off I go to Beaumont. Pulling that tank valve was so easy I could have used one finger.
Great job Kyle.

that means two parts are now no longer installed. Whatever the little curved pipe that had come loose and jammed the waste valve, and when removed, with great difficulty,
seemed to do nothing. Flushes just fine. does make me wonder where that pipe came from. The other part is the check valve in the water system that fell out when the helper removed the pipe I didn't want him to.

But....so far nothing going where it doesn't belong.
there is only one toilet in my rv and directly below it is the black tank. There is no need for a bend and the whole thing is encased in larger 3 inch pipe which is glued together. They mysterious two inch pipe was from ? It went out with the trash,
maybe Kyle can explain better. so what was it doing inside there?

waiting a little while so rising sun doesn't get me in eyes below the sun visor.
one challenge of driving East on a sunny morning

Good Morning,
Ct, 44 to start going to 60 or so ! Cloudy and raw day with a sprinkle of rain here and there !

The Rocky Horror Picture Show was well weird ! I think half of the crazies in Ct were at the theater last night ! 😉
Obviously I don’t get out enough ! 😂

I think I'd like to make this trip again with a dog companion.
Drew, sounds like John Steinbecks book while traveling with his dog Charlie ! The name of the book eluded me at the moment, but I’m sure you have read it !

Today is one those special days I will never forget. Would be 62 years of marriage. After 5 years I still miss her
Ron, prayers to your wife in heaven, I’m sure she is looking down on you ! 🙏

Will try and get a walk in before any serious rain comes in !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

that sounds pretty common place Frits, unfortunately
There is a lot more in the letter about lack of accountability and many other issues. More than a dozen people have joined the letter. Reviews in progress and distribution will be at very high level to where it can not be buried

GM,

In ketchup mode, still. LOL.

Suns up, I woke up in my own bed, and so far so good.

Yesterday was a road trip day, 8 plus hours on the road. Got some big furniture moved out and around from various places. I still think the farm house got more than what we got rid of. But that's on the wife. Daughter did get a wall unit from her grand parents, so that is cool. History and stories. Best part these four person mover sized furniture ended up placed with no damage. Better than pros.

Shout out to UHaul. Ugh.....what a day...

Maybe another road trip this AM....waiting...

Hope all enjoy the day. Should be in church and not on the road this AM, but....we shall see...

Be safe.

Drew’s postings of his TBN member visit bring back good memories.
I understand. She was a special person.

Drew and I had a great time, visiting the Cotton Gin. We first went into the museum which was just a smallish area for the actual museum. Then I asked the lady in there, "Can we go visit the actual gin?" She said yes, but be careful. So we had to be a little bit nosy, and walk past some "No Admittance" signs while a couple of guys were trying to get an old Massey running with a few sniffs of ether. (gas engine). I am glad Drew took some great pics of the big Bessemer engine that is 99 years old. It was bought by a coop way back. It is down for some repairs on the south flywheel but they need to get it running again before April, so that they can keep the claim of "longest continually operated cotton gin in America".

Afterwards, we went to a TexMex restaurant, and after a bit of a wait, we got some great food. Drew surprised me and got the Tres Fajitas platter that had Beef, Chicken and Shrimp with grilled onions and bell peppers. He must've been hungry because he ate it all. I had a great chicken breast covered with a white wine cream sauce with shrimp and whatever they use for scallops these days. I kind of pushed the scallops to the side, because I'm spoiled and like the real things (which I've only had a couple times in my life).

Drew sent me back home with the same container I had brought him the apple pie in, with some almonds and some chocolate. Well, my wife loves almonds and tried them....she said they were the best almonds she had ever eaten. Some organic grown in CA I believe. And the chocolate was a hit too, from Ireland, with some mint and truffle mixed in. She said to tell Drew Thank you again!

Then in the evening, we went to the steakhouse and Drew got himself a nice piece of Prime Rib. Wifey and I both got chicken (I love beef but I try to cut back on it here and there.). It was a great meal, with Drew sharing stories of his travels, his grandfather's butter company and more. Thank you Drew!

A really good day, and I'm so glad that Drew shared some time with us.

Prayers for our team!

Morning all, 63 going to 81 and sunny/dry
More watering.
Found the sides of the shared road, the grass has died and it's just dirt now.
Watered front/back and will do more today.
Even the forest section looks pretty dry.

Ron - prayers , you had many happy years. Time is too short for us all.

Kyle - if you ever get to pop by here I will make you real scallops with a nice white wine reduction.

be well,

Moving leaves, can see the blower top center

There’s a website called Agoda which you can book through that has the best deals. Don’t book direct.

If you’re white they’ll likely give you free upgrades when you arrive. They love white people.

When booking get the breakfast, it’s really good.

Travels with Charlie name of the book. He was a standard poodle fantastic breed very smart no shedding at all only haircuts. Their hair has an oil in it that makes your hands soft when petting them. When my parents died we inherited Mary Beth and we figured she understood 200 different words and she weighted 72 pounds. She would listen to everything you said.

Ron special memories she is in heaven watching over you. Prayers sent

Special Day indeed, Ron. Very special as well as those memories.

I think Drew and somebody like Sassy would be a great match. Maybe he should be visiting local shelters along his trip.

It's funny, my wife gets angry at me because they treat me better in her country than they do her. I've heard it's the same in vietnam. Regardless, it's an awesome place. I have a car there so I can go where I want.

Agree not very attractive drive. Racked up a lot miles driving from Houston to Beaumont. Had two projects in the area at nearby refineries

Well, I got the conveyor fixed and running again. The chain was too loose and bound up on the drive sprocket. Took my big pry bar and turned it backwards for about a foot, adjusted the chain (4" slop) AND the belt (1/2-3/4" slop), fired it up and poured 4 quarts of 15W40 over the chain while it was running and shut off the gas. When the carb ran out of gas I shut off the ignition and will cover the motor when the exhaust cools down. I have no use for 15W40 motor oil so instead of trying to return it (I lost the receipt) I will just use it to winterize the conveyor.
Energy conservation for the rest of today and tomorrow.

there are some seriously large industries in Bay City area, lots of crackers on both sides of road. Goodyear plant just before Beaumont is very large.
Bet they sited it out of town in case it blew
sweet smell in the air, plastics? I can't tell benzene from any other ene and don't want to breath any of them. But a lot of smell in the air coming into rv.

best part of today's drive was the first hour where I could drive with my window down and my arm on the door on cruise in the slow lane. Cool air blowing in my face, just wonderful. Eyes got itching; have been warned about local pollen
Drove for almost an hour that way letting traffic fly by me, finally up went the window and on went the a/c. And then the smell came.

warning do not breathe the air!

no sir, just a social study for grad school paper, thanks for your concern
yes sir, I'll be glad to take the sign down

wash is all done, very nice facility though sure was warm with armful of hot clothes right out of dryer for walk in 90+ full sun to site. Which admittedly was only 200 feet away. And the whole place is level and concrete. no shade but gets the job done well and if I wanted to it has a pool.

nothing could compare to Don's pool.
It came with beverage service too!
all I'd get here is a disease.

I have two beef pinwheels from supermarket a few days ago I need to barbecue, so this afternoon's project involves taking out more than half of rear storage area to get to propane mini barbecue. Have been carrying it around, might as well use it.
Didn't have much for lunch so an early dinner is in store, will cook outside in the shade. I should probably go soak them in a marinade.

I had employees from the area and when we drove in and started to smell the sulphide or who knows what in the air they said this is like being home and just like apple pie

I guess they were used to the smell
