Good Evening Ken,
I had to use a shop vac to get the water that was in the drum out, top load model, and then used a pan under the pump to drain the rest of the water! Total pain in my butt ! I didn’t see any filter but of course I was laying on my belly ! I also checked the drain hose for any obstructions , none found ! When I get up there on Friday I will pull the entire unit out and take a closer look !
I will report back at that point !

I actually went outside today and pumped 100 gallons of furnace oil into the furnace tank. The temperature was 10 above. No I didn't 'bundle' up, just my usual mukluks, jeans, t-shirt and a thermal shirt on top of that. The only part of me that got cold was my fingers and they were inside of gloves. I wonder if that could be because I froze all my fingertips when I was in Alberta back in the 70s.
I did check out remote fuel level sensors and I think I will stick with what I have.
