Bill, glad you had a good trip. I can't imagine driving 65mph on snowy anything. Seems the colder it gets the more grip?

Snow tires and all wheel drive and also 60 years of driving on snow. Familiarity breeds contempt. When I was a lot younger I used to blast across a lake I lived on at speeds up to 80 mph on a snow machine (Yamaha 433 GP) and shoot the cracks. In early spring when there was still lots of ice (+/- 2'), but the weather was warm I would take the hood off so the engine could get better and cooler air. Running at night with only the moon for lighting. Like I said, I was a lot younger and a lot wilder than now.

Good evening all. Motivation has proven most elusive. Front went through farther than expected so no 60's today. 54 for the start, foggy, light breeze. Light wind, partly cloudy sky, and high temp was at 12:01 AM at 63ºF, low temp was 47ºF mid morning and mid afternoon. Made coffee to start day, grief share, putter, was going into town but fighting diarrhea Dollar General had Imodium close by, and that did the trick. Stomach now shrunk, so might help with with weight loss.

Glad you are getting better mostly! Sounds like your spirits are up and you are looking for the silver lining! Full recovery soon!

Apparently I missed posting yesterday, sometimes lately days just seem to disappear with no recollection! We are headed for some snow again tomorrow 3-6” and Saturday night into Sunday 5-8” at least the temps should be cold enough to keep it light and fluffy.

Not much planned for today a couple of errands this morning and then back to conserving energy.

Sad to read about Bird’s passing.

Coffee is done brewing. 12° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 26° with with some snow flurries. Got house cleaned yesterday. Took Mule out for a ride. Then topped it off gas. Did take Sassy for a short walk. It was short because she got cold. Grooming shortened her hair length. Need to check that all equipment is ready for possible ice storm tomorrow morning.

slept well, looking forward to a quiet day.
weather alert posted for tonight, about an inch of snow and ice tomorrow.
I'm supposed to go visit my MIL in nursing home tomorrow, will just have to see how messy it is out there.
and another storm in the forecast, which will keep New England busy.

going to work on cleaning the house today.
within a period of two days, I managed to drop a third of a pound of ground coffee into my kitchen rug, then made it hugely
worse last night when pan of beef grease slid out of hands and right into rug. What a greasy mess...
need to break out carpet cleaner today and see if I can do the rug, otherwise have to get it professionally cleaned.
going to look carpet up on amazon, may be cheaper to buy another area rug. Having carpet in the kitchen is clearly not a good idea but I love the feeling
on my bare feet. But kitchen is right off entrance so carpet takes a hit despite numerous shoe mats. Well, it lasted three years, will see if Bissell cleaner
will save it.

34 outside right now, heading to upper 30's. Seems an ice storm is coming tonight. Will have to watch the weather more closely.

Indoor day, more chase downs for estates, heat pump looks to have died in other house. Sigh....expected, over 22 years old. It appears I have returned to the maintenance and replace cycle of home ownership.

It was in April of 2021. I enjoyed all his post while looking for this one.

Good morning TBN!!

41 this morning and might add 10 to it under cloudy skies. Crazy! It was 80 yesterday. Broke a 120+ yo record.
Haven't posted in a couple of days. It would've been my sons 44th Bday on Sun. First bday since he passed so it has been a pretty blue few days around the Lazy L.
We did get some great news though. FEMA inspected our bridge Fri and we got a check Tues. Gave us 1/2 times our estimate. Gas. diesel, food and such contributed to the extra $$.
My grader has found an 8' x 20' tank. It needs the ends cut out of it but I can handle that if I can get it close to the garage. I can "customize" it by the river but would like to get it close to the garage where I have power and big compressor for the plasma cutter. Otherwise I'll load the small compressor and generator to handle it. At least things are looking up from that stand point.
Not too much else except some 4 wheeling and dog walking.

Time for second cup and see what the day holds!

37 this morning ice will develop later today very close to me but not here so they say high in 30s.

Yesterday was a blur nothing done more of the same.

Good morning, the low is -22 and going to a high of 18°F. Wind calm. Sunny! Snow coming in tonight and staying all day tomorrow and tomorrow night. I'll plow on Friday. They are only calling for less than 2" but there is already a windrow from the township plow.

Filled 3 scripts yesterday, less than $20.oo all in.

The oil I got yesterday is still in the back of the car. It isn't hurting anything there and it is out of the way. It will stay there until I need it.

Energy conservation day today for sure.
