Good morning!!!!

45 outside right now, may get to mid 50's today. I think it is trying to rain.

Need to run into the city today. It was a busy weekend with the real job and the home life.

Managed to split the burn pile into three parts and torched one, ran out of time for the other two. Burn ban time allotment and whatnot.

Ended up cutting, moving and stacking just over five cords of wood on the tree work that was done. Looks like about 150 more rounds to go. I really missed counting the work accurately. The yard by the house is slowly being recovered.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

38 and wet here, raining lightly most of the morning.

Rip, 5 cords of wood is a good day's work.
NHBX, thank you for solving all those problems...is anyone listening to you? :giggle:

quiet day here, waiting til this afternoon for trip to Home Depot to get some pavers.

Good morning, the low is 21 and going up to 37°F. Wind E 22 mph. Snow mixed with rain.
Heard the sleet pounding against my window last night about 11 or so. Didn't last long. Changed over to snow. About 3" so far.
I may go out and plow about noon today.

Ron, your ducks are looking happy.

Have a safe day all

good morning, 46 going to 61 could and wind gusts to 37 MPH later PM

Finger specialist appointment today. A little bit of a drive 40 miles to get there. 270 is notorious for back ups but hopefully around noon it will be good

And then there is trash can to take up to the road

Made a list of filters, oil and other supplies needed for maintenance of the various equipment needing service

Good Morning
39° and damp with a high in upper 50’s with a chance of seeing the sun later in the day.

Yesterday kept me busy enough be moving all day, but didn’t get too much accomplished.
When I got home from the airport, daughter and her boyfriend were here, he wanted my blessing to marry her. So how could I refuse. I did get the pork belly delivered afterwards.

Still haven’t prepped the site for the shed, if it’s not too wet out there, I will take the snow plow off the tractor and put a bucket on it to get started on that project. If it’s too wet, I’ll have to postpone the delivery.

Don’t have any other plans, but the days seem to fill up whether I had plans or not.

Good Morning,
Ct, 34 to start going to 49 with rain most of the day, sounds like a break by 4 or so.

Youngest son just called, looks like we are watching 2 of the grands this morning, both of them have colds so hope we don’t get sick 🤒

Scott(vt) hope tasting went well. Try any beer?
Mostly, tasting went well, maybe a tad too much wine but we had a DD 😉. The only beer that we drank was the day before at Blue Point brewery in Patchoque. But a nice weekend overall.
Stay safe and get well, spring is coming sooner or later :)
Lou, hopefully 🙏

Good Morning! 55˚F. on got .18 inch of rain as the cold front moved in last night. The front will fizzle out and wind will change from N to E today and with sunny skies temps will be in the mid 80s.

Yesterday's crowd was not quite as big as Saturdays crowd at the "Farm" had an average of two families ride in-between each stops. I hope the Farm got more rain than we did. Glad Spring break is over and I can get things done around here. Next big seasonal event draw will be the easter egg hunts starting in April.

Good Morning to all who celebrate! Currently 44° heading to a high of 62° and cloudy. Some rain fell last night, just enough to be visible it seems.

Weekend went well, did a great job at making sure the chair didn't go anywhere.

This week, need to schedule a tee time for Wednesday for the small work golf league I have unceremoniously been put in charge of. At least it's only 4 of us this week. "Hi yes, I'd like to schedule a tee time for 32." I'm sure that would be a fun conversation. Fortunately, the schedule is every other week, so I get a week off in between.

Then I finally need to line up a trailer rental to buy the stupid mower. I've been talking about it for long enough, I know I'll keep it for forever, might as well spend the money and be done with it.

Dad spotted some more dead trees, but I informed him that this time of year is not the time to be doing that with the tractor, unless he wanted to mow over the ruts for the rest of the season. He agreed. They shove off this Friday to spend the weekend with nephew out at sister's place. The kid is growing like a weed. I'm going to blink and he'll be 6'2 and 250 pounds at this rate.

On the work front, it looks like a sleepy week. Lots of people OOTO traveling to various meetings/events. Let's hope my prediction doesn't bite me.

Ron- You forgot the most important part of the spiel "Arms and Legs inside the vehicle until it comes to a complete stop. This vehicle only stops outside of it's designated stops in an emergency, screaming is not an emergency."

Happy Birthday Buckeye's Dad! What an incredible milestone! Sophie as well! May they both have many more trips around the sun.

All not specified, be well and stay safe out there y'all!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

Morning all, 39 to 55 and rain.
Spent some time yesterday clearing out and cutting down the grasses in the garden and some other yard work.
Took apart the pole saw for a good cleaning and sharpened the chain.

Dad's GF has still not finished with the funeral home, dad in the fridge, death cert not signed.
She told my brother she tried to get their on 2 different days and got lost both times.
They offered to come to the house, she said she would find the place.
My goal is to call her today and convince her to let them come to her house to sign the paperwork.
And yes, social workers and police have been involved. :(

Popgadget - My friends dad has a place on Lake Wallenpaupack , I still owe them a visit. Nice to do the food dropoff. Congrats on engagement.

Kyle - happy birthday to your son, learners permit, you going to teach him driving?

Sons trip to Philly for his GF birthday went well, he came home tired. :)

Deer found and ate the first flowers to come up. Daffodils will be open soon though.

Be well,

interesting trip in the rain to Home Depot, the pavers I wanted were internet only.
oh.
so I bought ten 6x18" concrete pavers and will use them instead. Not as decorative but functional.
I also could not resist buying two more rose bushes at good prices there.
and then it all fell apart.
long line at contractor's station. Only checkout in entire store. Another station had a lady saying her computer was down.
plus the guy at the only checkout said he was filling in for someone, and had problems with every order. took five minutes to ring up my pavers
because he didn't know what dept they were in. They won't get a good score from me. There were plenty of people working there; this is a management issue.

Popgadget, congrats on daughter's engagement. Maybe you could interest her in an inexpensive Quaker wedding?...;)

drizzly grey day, not going to get much done in this.

   / Good morning!!!! #204,894
on this day years back I was taking pictures of the enormous ditches in the farm fields outside of Washington NC
in Pantego. Huge flat farm fields there, super rich soil, and surrounded by the largest ditches I had ever seen.
One of my neighbors was a ditcher and was kept busy.
if you didn't get your fields drained, crop is at risk.

apparently I also changed my Kubota's air filters this day awhile back.
That oem big air filter is spun with Japanese gold.

Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 8:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 77F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Spent all day yesterday dragging downed trees to the burn pile. All of them were down hill from the trail, and most of them had a tree in the way. Had to make multiple pulls back and forth to work them above the tree and get them up on the trail. Lots of upper body work lugging the log chains around. Bucked the smaller limbs on one of them for firewood, as the pile was getting pretty low. Have one more to buck today and that job will be done. Hopefully for the last time.

I'll work the punch list of jobs this morning until it warms up a bit, then go outside and see what else presents itself.

Hope everyone's week gets off on the right foot...

Good morning (barely)TBN!!
55 supposed to get to 70 today probably mostly cloudy. Rain this morning but clearing out.
Cut tank.jpg

My weekend in a nutshell.
Had some help to cut out some of the tank. Got 2 very nice workbench etc tops out. 1/4 inch plate. This tank was much thicker than I thought. Spent all week getting things just right. Turned the torch on and of course the acetylene was empty. Wife went out to pick up some more but this was how it was when she got back. Turns out the Plasma and the nine inch grinder were the best choice for the job. Very expensive mistake leaving the acetylene tank on. She came back with a Northern tank full. $700!!! This is probably one of the largest projects I have ever taken on. Moving slow and steady but getting there. I'll be glad when it's done :).
Still have some more to cut but the majority is done. Next is to clean it out to set in the river. It was a waste oil tank so a lot to clean up first.
I got 12 k steps in on Sat. when most of this was done. Yesterday I held my chair down all day and really moving slow today. Hate that it takes me 2 days to recover from one day of work! Kinda of a pain to get old. Figuratively and physically!

Anyway, the second cup is long gone so time to make the best of the day!
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Major shift today - TAXES. My primary focus until filed. TurboTax user.

Goal is to minimize the hurt and avoid writing a check. Bonus if they owe me.

I propose a simple tax change - Personal exemption starts at $100k as 1st line of tax table.

Happy Hour in town this afternoon. I’ll be ready

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Back from hand specialist appointment

Scar tissue had to be broken up and was mummed and finger forced to bend. Big crack sound and worried about fracture so back in Xray. Fortunately no break
Forced the finger the full range and ordered PT

This will unfortunately delay using that hand fully so activities will continue to be limited. Need to find some source for firewood. Should be able to stack it hopefully

Plowing all done for now. More snow coming. Now it is my turn to hold the chair down.

Scott DD= Designated Drunk?

Drew, up here Kubota is really proud of their stuff. That is why I bought a Kioti. $10,000.oo less for the same thing as I priced out at Kubota.
