Terrible weekend. an uninsured vehicle plowed into the back of my truck on the freeway and my BIL died after a routine CT scan, (two totally separate incidents).

Greetings! I didn't realize it was so long since I posted.

Nice little cold snap this morning! It was ~50F this morning but the "feels like" temp was 38*F! It was amazing! Wind was blowing hard and all day.

Tomorrow will be Sunny so probably much better!

Of course, once I returned home, that put me in a 'what needs to be limbed around here' mood. It's a never-ending task when you have trees, eh?

I know that feeling! Once you get started....

Two_bit Sorry so war down there so soon. I am going to have 4 days with highs below 60ºF. Good to hear the appraisal protests went so well. I was on gravel road so minimized damage to wheel and derailleur. Bike did not go down, so no injury

Glad it was no worse that that mostly!

Good evening all. 38ºF for the start, overcast with some drizzle, trace rain in gauge, light breeze. Light wind, Sky stayed overcast, and high temp was 47ºF. Made coffee to start day, help set up Chapel, attend, and help tear down chapel. Breakfast with group, the Dash meal delivery while I was in town. Started fire when I got home, then lunch puttered on computer, thawed chicken for dinner, then worked on cleaning lady prep after short nap.
Ted glad you got some good moisture, hope it melts fast. Glad Dona was feeling good, hope she gets through crash ok.
Kyle sorry your mom can't get in the truck. Glad you took son and oldest daughter out for TexMex, and they enjoyed it. Equaling best time last year and not training as hard as normal for most of season pretty good in my book. Sorry Houston not doing better at B-ball. Glad you got some rain. Have fun with the Sony A/V system. Sorry about your budget getting lowered. Hope you get Impala sold. Hope you can get the valve fixed on your mom's heart.

Coffee is brewing. 28° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 42° with cloudy skies. Got one mower ready for mowing grass in a couple of weeks. Then helped neighbor remove engine from a ZT mower. Looks like main crank seal is leaking on it. Watched NASCAR race for about 15 minutes. Going to work on tractor and mower today.

Don, sorry for loose of BIL. May he RIP. Hope repairs to truck are quick.

48 outside, that should be the high for today. Raining finally. After numerous reports that it would rain all day yesterday, it finally shows up this AM.

Managed to get one burn pile lit yesterday, three to go. Obviously have to wait now. More reclaiming the front yard from the tree rounds. If I split any more, not sure where I can put the wood. I have no more out buildings with space available.

Today is pay day.
I get to go and pay all the bills.
Going to Costco mostly for the neighbor since he's too cheap to buy a membership. I get his points so not a complete waste. Always find something.
Hard to leave without spending a $100+.
Other than that, just a puttering day.

Ron, I do the same thing here in Vermont. Especially after April when really no freezing temps will occur.
I think I will let it warm up a bit before I get back into the deck project.
The Dovre gas stove in the kitchen seems to be working properly since cleaning the thermopile last week.

64 this morning and won't get much warmer. Got just shy of an inch of rain overnight and it's still coming down. Cooler then avg this week.
Spent a few hours pressure washing yesterday. Funny how long it takes when you can only get about a two inch spray pattern that will actually blast oil off. I use the 0 degree tip to basically make lines in the sludge and then go back with 30 degree tip to clean a little more broadly. Have to hold it so close to work that it is cleaning about a 2" strip. In an 8' x 20' tank it takes a while Ready for it to be done.
May be a conserve energy day today as it is supposed to rain until after lunch at least.
Very sad to hear about truck and BIL. Prayers

And now off to a second cup.

Good sleep, lots of stuff to get done this week, need to take the truck in, it is still drivable, and a funeral. Thanks for the condolences.
