Tried out the moisture meter on one of the 4 x 4 posts on the edge of the stack, it read 18% … which doesn’t seem totally out of the realm of possibility.

Got all the pipe cut for the sawhorses:

2 crossbars

8 legs

4 braces for between each pair of legs

Next up will be notching the legs where they will attach to the crossbar which should be able to be done on the drill press with a hole saw.

Got some clean up done while the saw was cutting as well.

Drinking warm cup of coffee. 58° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72° with slight chance of rain. Got Sassy groomed. Looks like a cute little dog again. Instead of a fluffy dust mop. Rain all day. More like a drizzle to keep things wet. Did some shop work instead. Neighbor needed a draw bar extension for their golf cart. Still need to mount it. May get that done today. May get back field grass cut if rain holds off long enough.
Bath time.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 61 and gong to a high of 75°F. Wind ESE 8 mph. 30 % chance of showers.

I have a small soldering project for today as long as the heavy rain holds off. IF it only rains lightly, then I will kick the Dodge out of its' shelter and use that one for the job.

I used to shoot groundhogs in a farmers' field (with his permission) using .22 LR.

My 61 Morris Oxford had all leather seats. Buckets in front and bench in back. 4 on the floor and 4 doors. Neighbour down the road had a Austin Healy motor with twin SU carbs. We dropped that in the Morris after I blew the Morris motor up. I did learn that I didn't like hydraulic clutches, they cannot take the abuse that dry clutches can take.

Have a safe day all

Drew what are you going to tow behind the Lexus?
on Friday I'm pulling my one ton trailer with a 1500 pound garden tractor on it.
that should be easy.
from the feel of it, don't think there's enough torque in this very mild V8 to pull a lot more.
should be a good test run for the new to me car. This is a base model, not a lot of electronics and unfortunately
no adaptive cruise. That was a bummer for me, I thought it was standard.
This truck is based on a 15 year old design and is pretty ancient internally, which apparently is what makes it so reliable.
Even the car care channels said the electronics hold up over time, and there are no known major problems. But if I thought the Expedition
had a dated infotainment, this looks like it's from the Jetzons. But all the switches are sturdy, metal, really feels well made. Since I don't use my phone in the car for anything, old school works just fine for me. Although this does have voice control which I won't use.

after all the nonsense I went through on the Ford, looking forward to less drama. The wonderful thing about local Lexus dealer is they provide free loaner cars. When you live alone, that's huge.
I thought my Expedition was pretty sharp looking for such a big suv. The Lexus is the opposite, will blend in and not be seen. That's ok by me.

chuckled when I looked through maintenance, found there are some zerks left in the suspension, now that's old school.
remember when it was always an oil change and lube?

good morning all
1.16 rain in the gauge and going to rain all day. Lake Drew is filling up.
power flickered on and off last night, enough to reset stove clock.

I'm off this morning to Lexus dealer to get hitch installed on my new to me car, going to do some food shopping
on a rainy day and work on the rv.

Morning all!
50 going to 70's with sun and clouds. 3 days of rain in the forecast.
Working on father in laws car today. One of the guards on the rear wheel rusted off.

Had a drippy faucet down in the shop. Since my hands wouldn't turn them easily I decided to replace the whole thing with a single handle pivoting type. Works great!
Ran over to the apartment house and installed the bagger system onto the mower.
Neck issues came back out of the blue! Will try to take it easy as I can.
Went for our walk in the morning and the pollen in the air was killer.
Almost forgot...got the front lawn (if you can call it that) cut for the first time of the season. Back yard is still water logged and mushy. Need a long dry spell to firm it up.
Nephew has his last concert as a high schooler on Thursday night.
First time working with olive wood. Made another box.

Not sure what else. I feel another coffee calling!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

good morning, 60 going to 72 rained overnight another 2 inches on top of the earlier 2 inches

Neighbors pond is at overflow condition and seeping a little over the top down my driveway. Ground is saturated so will not take much more to overflow it. Forecast says more rain to come over the next few days

Picked up groceries and prescription. Water leak on the van at the roof antenna

Worked some more on the barn project. Lots of job security there
Cody got wet on his walk yesterday and his coat holds LOTS of water

Neck issues came back out of the blue! Will try to take it easy as I can.
Phil, if you have bad arthritis/SDDD and bad bones, a fusion can help.
Surgeon told me in 2010 my neck would feel great for two years, and then it was all downhill.
So fifteen years later I wear a soft collar while driving and sometimes sitting here if my neck just hurts.
I already take celebrex and arthritis meds so not much else they can do.
fusing my neck is the reason I need a big car door to get into, just can't do the limbo anymore.

most of the time you are pinching a nerve and not necessarily where the pain is.
thankfully heat works for me. Heating pad? or ice, different for some
my best friend's wife just went through acupuncture for her back, need to ask how she is doing.

if you could ever consider it, think about getting a hot tub.
if warm water makes your hands feel better, think about being submerged in it.
makes all the pain go away for awhile.
hop out of there, dry off and go build your wooden masterpiece.
in the winter it will warm your bones, and being snowed on in a hot tub
is simply great fun.

I'm trying to give away the Coleman inflatable hot tub in my basement since I can't find the leak in the external
pump assembly.
pretty sure solution will be to give it to landscape crew. Those guys will take anything home...might be same
guy who got my old plastic greenhouse.

unless someone handy like buckeye wants to fiddle with it. when it worked it was great, like a big deep hot kiddy pool
biggest challenge is getting it out of basement and onto someone's pickup, not sure what it will look like when deflated.
unwieldy and heavy I'm sure. Many hands make light work, that lawn crew will have it disappear like magic.

/ Good morning!!!! #206,794
Beautiful Phil! sorry about neck.

Ron, is that a robin? We have one down here at work that hangs out under a huge oak tree. There is a sprinkler system and the ground stays damp most of the time.

65 and rain, going to 70, and flash flood watch. Lots of inside chores today.

After dropping Della off at the vet for spaying, came home and mowed the remainder of the grass and trails. Sure glad I got it done before this rainy week began. Used the grapple to move some brush and then took it off the tractor for the summer. Used bucket to clean up and move some weed piles and trimming remains that my wife had made and then got the first shower on the way back to park the tractor.

Picked Della up at 5:30...still sorta spacey from the anesthesia. I'll get her up in a little while and she will finally get some food after 36 hours. Keeping her leashed and relatively inactive for nearly 2 weeks will be a challenge.

BEF, I did the same with my mower 2 years ago...no apparent damage.

Buppies, hope things go better with Holly today.

63 and foggy. Going to 77 and maybe more this afternoon. Fields are flooded in low spots.

Took it easy yesterday, caring for Della.
Hope Della keeps getting better. Hard to keep a dog with energy chilled. Guess y'all can get caught up on movies maybe?

Glad to hear RNG is alright, thanks for checking on him Ken. Good luck with the corn. Like chickens, almost everything likes to eat corn. :) The corn on the way to my work is already shoulder height.

At work, I have a student worker helper. I have him cleaning up our waterjet cutter that was filthy and full of garnet.

Popgadget, are the slats on your plasma cutter also stainless? Or just the tank? I've decided I hate the rusting that goes on when you keep the conditioned water in the plasma tank. I installed 3 drain valves with tubes over to a drain basin. Will keep it dry unless using it. Only takes a few minutes to fill it with our water pressure.

We are having a tight budget crunch at work. Not sure why. Would like to know exact cause. It costs more money to teach a technical course where students get hands on experience than a classroom with just books. If allowed, I will stand and ask the person who may or may not know.

/ Good morning!!!! #206,795
Good morning! Still dark outside, 73˚F heading to 101˚. This is supposed to be the hottest day in this heat wave. If The water hits the magic 83˚, I'm in the pool. The water was still too cold yesterday. We did manage 1.5 mile walk yesterday evening when the temp dropped to 95˚ with the evaporate cool scarf that was soaked in ice water. It also works well when driving the Tractor and temps reach over 100˚.

/ Good morning!!!! #206,796
Drew, does the hot tub come with a time machine? If I go back to 1986, will I still marry my wife in 1987? It sounds too dangerous to try. lol Gotta see the movie to get that.
1.6" of rain since yesterday. But nothing like western MD, where they had to rescue school kids by boat yesterday.
Have a breakfast meeting this morning, then who knows what. Probably class prep, as I teach tonight and another next month, in addition to my sunday night ones.

now 59 deg.

I have hard time calling an SUV a truck. A truck has a bed in the back. some states register them the same, some don't.

I found a 22 doesn't usually kill a groundhog, unless a proper shot or hollow point. now a 22-250 will leave no doubt.

/ Good morning!!!! #206,797
Good morning TBN!!
59 this morning going to low 80s. .09" in the rains gauge. Probably more this afternoon with afternoon popups.
Not a whole lot yesterday. Brush pile went out Monday night in all the rain so got that fired up again and tended it most of the day.
Walked with Takoda. Seems my step count is lacking when I spend most of the day on the tractor. 8k yesterday.
Piddlefarted around the garage. Got our paper burnt and no it's a new day.
Contractor texted yesterday and I let him know how much and what kind of stone I want.
Next up is to get to Lowes and pick up some 5/8" x 20' rebar. Not sure it that will be today or not.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
