67°F and .05 inches rain

Another area mowed yesterday. 2 more to go.

Nice Happy Hour in town yesterday. Drew, HH is just Monday’s . But have had some bonus gatherings of late.

No luck getting Mule fuel filter at dealer. It is a special order item. Don’t think this is really a full service dealer, more authorized seller.

Up early for a 7Am service appointment for my Tundra, it’s first. Then a trip to Home Depot

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

interesting video from Messicks showing what used tractors cost
most interesting thing to me is his comment that the small and compact tractor market is
pretty well worn out at 5000 hours.
Useful life about half that of commercial ag. Which makes sense.
commercial zero turn range is 1500-3000 hours I read.

Good morning TBN!!
60 going to low 80s today. Tstorms likely but probably while we are sleeping tonight!

I had one of "those" days yesterday. :-(
Everything I touched was a problem. Just the highlights:
Went to town for a new battery from NAPA. Ended up needing nearly on hour to get it back in. Tried to reinstall using the hold downs that came with the tractor. Had it strapped in for years because not the same size as original. Suffice it to say it is strapped in again.
Put the pallet with genny and welder in the back of the truck so I could put the bucket back on.
Then I ran the tractor out of fuel at the top of the driveway on the hill. Had to walk to get the fuel and get it in and of course it wouldn't start with out bleeding the system.
Shut the tailgate on the truck and it came off in my hands. It's not a big deal but it's a PITA to get back on.
Gave up and decided to take the dog for a walk. Tripped in the first few steps.
Gave up after that. I sure hope today is better.
No plans yet. I'm sure work on the bridge will be in the agenda. I need to get some rip rap down in the mud and some fill between the tanks and shore it up. Then we should at least be able to drive across it. That is still a couple of day to finish fill though and get it secure. It is to narrow between the tanks to drive on.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
Hoping you have a better day today

Tundra service was really quick. I was 1st one in. Was so fast I got excited and came right home, completely forgetting about HD. No problem, have another appointment in town tomorrow, so will just get mowing earlier today.

I have to pick up an order from Messicks tomorrow. Will plan to eat lunch at nearby diner.
Concrete work is done, mixer back in the barn.
Grass is all mowed. Did hit some more sticks. Already have fire pit full of sticks.
Saw a dead cherry tree at 45° angle on other side of creek. Been waiting for wind to take a couple down, this one hung.
Late lunch
Wife picked strawberries and is making jam

Since my last post, I removed the old deck stairs. That got me thinking of a change

I have a 4 ft section that bridges my geothermal lines underneath. Was going to drop to lower deck there. Now think I’ll keep deck at same height of main deck then step down closer to the garage. Same amount of deck space

I called the garage and set an appointment for Friday after noon. They figure I need the tires rotated. When I do the dump run tomorrow I will take my laser thermometer with me and shoot both front calipers. I think it is a brake problem.

Neither one of us has any teeth, crunchy is not our friend. A can of Pringles is about as crunchy as I get.

More on the maple syrup, if it gets moldy, just strain it through cheesecloth then refrigerate it.

Drew, on your pergola, I would use 4' pieces of rebar with a 90° angle on the top. Put 2 per leg at kitty corners. That ought to hold it down.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of -0.8C and it's presently 14.5C, clear & calm.

Yesterday I decided to do an arvo blood test (obviously non-fasting) at the local clinic. I also stopped off at the Chemist and the PO prior to that.

Which means that, it being 'into town' day for groceries, I don't have to do those tasks today.

That's about it, take care all.

Picture to show, originally I was making the lower deck (red) 16 ft, long, to where the 4 ft "bridge" currently ends, now I think I'll make it 12 ft, and extend the upper deck to 8 ft. I'll be removing the old AC unit that has been disconnected for over 10 yrs, but can't fill that space with deck, as electric meter and old furnace exhaust are back there on the wall, plus a basement window.
