53F partly sunny day upper 80's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
NuBoo show up last evening just before dark with his girl friend...love is in the air.
Plans for today...2 cords of wood weren't delivered yesterday he promise delivery before noon today,meet with tree service Rep having 2 very TALL BIG pines taken down near power lines,quick trip to town for wooden pallets,might try stack least cord wood before dinner??? that should be enough for today.

Good morning, the low is 68 and only going up to 75°F. Wind S 13 mph. A few showers with risk of a T-storm in the afternoon.

Got the woodstove chimney swept and certified yesterday, $150.oo. The septic tank sucker comes soon and I don't have enough cash here for him. That'll be $300.oo. Town and the bank first thing this morning.

The guy that sweeps my chimney told me the township jacked their taxes up 4.5%, they don't do squat to this road and I see no valid reason WHY. They don't put any dust control on this road, they don't clean out the ditches, they don't trim their trees back so they don't encroach on the hydro wires. They only grade the road once a year. They only plow the road in winter when the snow gets about a foot deep. They haven't done anything to deserve the 4.5% raise they voted themselves. I am thinking seriously about contesting the raise.

Picked up groceries. Used points and senior day to get 25 percent off
Picked up plants and spent the morning working on weeding and gardening making wife happy

Picked up 70 dollar filter for the excavator and changed the return filter in the hydraulic tank

Drew, when you work in asphalt, diesel fuel is your best friend. When I started 38 years ago, we had some liquid called Triple T., it had a $50.oo name but we just called it TTT or triple T. It was dry cleaning solvent and worked really good. The goobermint banned it. So then we got Trim S. Again, no idea what the $50.oo words were for it. Did know that if you were real smart you didn't smoke anywhere near it. Extremely flammable. That got outlawed too. So we got this stuff made by ZEP, don't know what the real name of it was except that it smelled like oranges. It works, just not as good as the TTT. If you let it freeze, then it would gel up and not go through your sprayer.
Although we are not 'supposed' to use diesel fuel or gasoline for cleaning asphalt, what happens in the field stays in the field.

In Texas it is the market value of the land that is taxed not how much work is done.

To clean a shovel caked in asphalt from shoveling it all day, we would soak in diesel and light it up. Cleans right up.

Good morning! 76˚F had a brief light rain this morning 0.07". Temp warming to the mid 80s. I have one more good day in the dry river bed to remove rocks before reversing the process. If I get through water volleyball If not I'll work through the heat.

L4N you are right used most of those to clean off asphalt still like diesel the best. Depends on who you are working for and who is around
