Good morning!!!!

Good Morning,
Vt, 50 to start going to 77. Clear and crisp late summer morning with bright blue skies.

Last night was a difficult trip carrying 20 more 12 ft lengths of Trex up in the back of the PU. Tailgate up but too much bouncing around, was very nervous even though I had everything tied up well. But the TREX was bouncing badly every time we hit a bigger bump in the road. But managed to get it all up here and unloaded into the barn before going to bed at midnight 😉

Plans for today, company coming around mid day, so a leisurely ride on the boat and out to dinner tonight.

Kathleen has a few things she wants me to assemble, so I will get going on that this morning and hopefully get the grass cut at some point 😉

Hope all have a good day 🙏

Good Morning
59° with a high of 80 under a clear sky today.

Yesterday was a slow day, managed to pick up some brush and trim a few more low hanging limbs to make mowing easier.

Mowed the runway

Amazon delivered my outdoor mesh access point, so I installed that. It required my 24’ extension ladder to be fully extended. I’ve always said if I can’t reach it from that, it’s too high for me.
Of course it didn’t work when I connected it :(. It wasn’t powering up, so I figured it was the cable, so I ran a new cat 6 cable to it from the POE switch. It still didn’t work. I tried a different port in the switch and it fired right up. I’m guessing there was nothing wrong with the original cable. I guess I can take solace in knowing that I replaced an old cat 5 cable with a nice cat 6 one.

Today starts with the old guys at the RC field, gonna fire up the smoker late this afternoon, and hopefully play music tonight.

Good morning, the low is 62 and going up to 79°F. Wind SE 4 mph increasing to 13 this afternoon. mix of sun and cloud.

I have two power grease guns. A Dewalt and a el-cheapo, 'cause I wasn't going to take a $500.oo grease gun on the road with me. The company supplied the grease. They also supplied the grease for my 5th wheels.
Right now they are both air-locked, so I may work on them today and grease the Z-turn and the tractor.

There is my day planned out.

Drew, good luck with MILs memorial and hopefully no rubber chicken.

Have a safe day all

Beauty day. Blue sky, 60F.
Warming up today and the weekend to just aboot 80F but nothing stifling like the heat wave that finally broke earlier this week. Next week to be in the 70s. Ahhh!(y)
Mostly house work today and a few bills to pay later.
Since I'm split between two abodes now there are more of them to keep track of.
Went shopping for basic groceries yesterday.
I've added up the bills and yes I spent close to $240. That's not the problem.
I didn't get everything.
I did load up on a few sale items but I can't say it was a complete shop.
No soda, chips, cookies, bread or typical empty calories like I see in other buggies. Limited veggies and no fruit. Nice rack of St Louie cut ribs. However not much meat wise.
Maybe should be in the YKYO thread but I remember working not making that much as my weekly take home. $50 on groceries covered most everything.
Anyways, hope everyone has a fantabulous day.
Good day and may the good news be yours. LN

Good morning TBN!!
68 and steady rain. Should stop in another hour or so.
I hope tomorrow morning isn't like this. Expecting 8yds of concrete at about 8 AM.

Physical day again yesterday. Hand loaded and layed another 4 buckets of rock with the FEL. Maybe a little touchup today and then it is what it is!
My son is coming in this afternoon from Fla to give us a hand plus about every mail in my wifes contact list. LOL And quite a few of the females too. Bittersweet as I am missing my oldest son a whole lot too. It's been about a year also since he left us.

Plan today is the touch up and final on the bridge and cleaning up my shop for socializing and eating. :)

Time for a third cup :)
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Morning all, 58 going to 82 and sunny.
A small tree fell on driveway, neighbor got it cut and moved.
I went down later and trimmed a branch that it hit as it looked like it might fall and cleaned up the area. Nice when he is home.

Lots of young bucks, saw at least 4 yesterday. The triplets, twins and other fawns are losing their spots.

Hope the puppy is ok Arly.

Be well,

So we had these colorful peppers on our porch last year, seems one got out and grew next to the porch, very purple.

This one is very brave and stands between me and the Does/Fawns, staring me down.
Still pretty young/small

66.7F and cloudy @ 09:30, heading up to around 80F for the day’s high.

Cup of cold coffee tasting very good.

Spent the afternoon yesterday hand watering the garden.

The tomato plants in the grow bags were looking pretty droopy so that’s where I started. Did the summer squash as well, since they are right there.

After that moved on to the eggplant … 3 or 4 fruits have appeared on those. Bugs are chewing on the leaves so those will get sprayed today.

Next up was the kohlrabi which are about ready to harvest.

Then the sweet bell peppers, did some trimming on zucchini plants that were shading out a couple of the peppers.

Finally onto to the Sunny Boy tomatoes. Those are only supposed to get 5’ tall … but a number of them are approaching 6’. Have several that the tops have grown to the point that they are laid over and are now resting on the top of the cage of the plant next door …

Everything I watered got at least 32 oz of water, but no fertilizer.

Picked another okra pod, plus 2 more zucchini … one of them a monster.

Brought the tall step ladder around with the Kubota and got the deer netting on the south perimeter tied up where it was sagging.

Something was gnawing on the cabbage so I went over to the barn and got the live trap and brought it over and baited it with wet Salmon cat food … so it was sufficiently stinky.

Haven’t checked it yet today … but I sure hope the skunk The Woman was smelling recently ain’t in there.

Agenda for today:

Refill bird feeders.

Finish welding project for friend.

Then probably back to more watering.

Maybe work on getting more summer squash put in the freezer. Have some okra to do as well.

Hope everyone is having a great TGIF …

Good Afternoon to All who Celebrate! Currently 81° going to a high of 83° sunny and clear

Busy morning, which is why this post is late. Parents shoved off this morning to go help set up for nephew's first birthday. Great Grandma couldn't shake her cold and bowed out of the trip, so it's just Yours Truly making the drive out tomorrow. Week wasn't too bad, but the clouds and rain made it hard to get going some days.

Need to get the oil changed in the truck, prep my bag for my trip later next month. Otherwise just a sleepy weekend on my return from nephew's birthday party.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

Good morning everyone. Not all that cool overnight here and in the 60's now plus a shower passed through.. We planned to head back to northern MN Saturday morning but now we have a ill puppy and might have to cancel travel plans. High for today is in the upper 70's which is pretty warm for us.
Good afternoon folks, had to cancel trip because of a ill puppy who I took to the vet and found out has urinary track infection. Drinking and peeing is all she's doing. Oh well, got her some meds and we'll look at camp properties on Saturday.. She's now at 39lbs!

the good news is the chicken was not rubbery.
but what a low end lunch, oval chicken part felt mechanically pulverized and was soft as could be.
tasteless unseasoned broccoli with it.
really a terrible lunch but nice people working there.

memorial went fine, some family drama, jumped a foot first time all those rifles were shot off, very
impressed with care and dignity shown with the military honors, folding of the flag.

Arly you were wise to keep dog home, hope she feels better soon.

I really want to do zip right now.

Scanned more slides this morning. Had to redo one tray as I discovered after finishing that they were in backwards by order. First tray I did were physically backwards in the tray, but I caught that. Had to wipe residue off the slides, probably put there by a mouse in dad's house...

My brother cleaned out dad's freezer, stuff in there from the 90s probably. threw it all out.

mowed all the yard to the creek. down at creek I discovered a new anchor for new guy wire just been set, that won't allow me to mow around the power pole. Seems the fiber guys strung a cable down the power line poles, even though they strung one down the road in front of my house. They redid all the guy wires (remember the clown show last week) in front of neighbors house, now looks like they will do the same for the power poles behind the house. Really not much need for a guy wire, line bends maybe 10deg max at the pole.
The line install guys were parked in front of neighbors house, so I came up and asked them. They first acted like they didn't know what I was talking about, then gave a bunch of excuses. I said move it foot so I can get my mower in there. They told me to cut it off, I said no, not going to cut it off. They said they would have someone come monday to discuss. I also asked why they sending a line down there, they said to get to people behind me. I said you already took one down the road, told him to turn around, said see that pole, that's where the power lines go. You making a circle. I'll just let them do whatever they are going to do. However, I should check into the easement situation. I asked if they were working for the power company, they said the fiber company. As far as I'm aware the easement is only for the power company, even the telephone lines dont use those poles. And that is an old old line (copper wires), well before fiber was ever a dream... I'm sure power company will claim they have right of way for anything on their poles...
But they should have asked before driving in over my back yard with their trucks.

Went to mission BBQ last night for supper, brought some back for todays supper.

Looks are deceiving, it won’t fit

Drew, that is what I did today...zip...

rs, if you have a blanket you don't want anymore use that to drape over the trap, covering not only the top but both sides and both ends. Leave it for about an hour and that will let the skunk (if it is a skunk) settle down then calmly pick up trap, blanket and all and put it where you want to release it. Remember up here it is illegal to shoot an animal in the trap, but you let it out of the trap and then put one in its' head.

BEF, if you pick up the rubber deflector the mower might fit. Maybe?

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.4C and it's presently 15.4C, partly cloudy with some wind. There was 2.0mm in the gauge @0900.

Yesterday I contacted the Wine Faeries to let them know that my Mate from Brisbane had depleted my wine 'collection' = a couple of emergency cases are on their way. Whew.

Today will see me off to the tip to recycle the wine bottles that my Mate depleted.

That's about it, take care all.

You are correct, Peter.

Our local club is the "Portland Endurance Riders Club Inc" and I typically get asked to 'man' a checkpoint. Also (for scott_vt) a State Amateur Radio Club also attends these events to supply rider information, as they pass = "number 15 has passed checkpoint #2", in case someone gets lost.
We've had many holidays manning vet check points, crewing, or riding endurance over the years. None in Tasmania, so far...

All the best,

Peter
