Decided to go ahead and drain gas in pressure washer since there was some in it. Went ahead and poured that into the Cub.

Ran down and got 4.5 gallons of gas at the corner.

Stopped at neighbors on way back to see if he wanted the trimmings from the pine tree. He was happy to take them off my hands …

Ran those up once I got home then refilled the tank on the pressure washer, started on the first pull …

Also refilled the tank on the Cub I had been dumping the old gas into.

Pressure washed the asphalt, still have a bit more to go, touch up under some pieces that came loose.

Then trimmed back the pachysandra and hit the walkway going to the front door.

Woman brought home Chipotle for dinner.

After I ate I took the Kubota and the tall step ladder around back and zip-tied the deer fence back up.

Then headed over to the barn and collected up the four round 12’ fence posts. Two of those still need completed with asphalt coating.

Managed to locate my 35’ tape measure.

Just need to go move the Cub around back and shutoff the water and I’ll be done outside for the day.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low was a frosty -1.6C and it's presently 13.2C, clear & calm. There was 1.0mm in the gauge @0900.

Yesterday arvo I received notification that I had mail, so I decided to make it a decent trip 'into town' and include a full collection of scripts. Whilst there I also made an appointment with my accountant to handle my taxes.

I'm sure that I've mentioned it before but Australia is very 'laid back' when it comes to filing your annual income tax... there's no real deadline but you can 'start' on the 1st of July. However this one may involve a 'bit more' as my Old Age Pension started in January (Well, actually the 31st of December :) ). I've got an appointment for Monday the 29th.

Once again, nothing is planned for today. That's about it, take care all.

Good morning all. 44 here this am and predicted to hit 55 today and its breezy now. We got 1.25 inches of rain yesterday and overnight. Our 40lb puppy eats more than our other 2 dogs do so I need to get her another 40lb bag of food for her. Gee whiz. If the rain ends, I got things to do outside today.

Dog food is what drives our Costco visits

Holy smokes  wonder how much for average home permit cost.
Too much. I wonder if that is the reason why no new houses are being built in this township.
You can go west from the township office about 10 miles and built whatever you want, within reason. It is an 'unorganized township'. No building permits, but you still need the electric inspected, unless you go totaly off grid.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 45° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 69° with partly cloudy skies and some brisk winds. Grocery shopping went good. Then did some more tree trimming. Chipper pile is getting bigger. Going to get edger and make it run. Then edge grass along drive and sidewalks.
Need to clean the bird feeders.

good morning all
one weather station says .45, the other says .58, second one likely most accurate.
well that's enough rain to make the grass green again

have a busy day planned today. Meeting two childhood friends for lunch, getting some Jersey Mikes subs to take
to one friend in wheelchair. Then home later today to see if I can get my unhappy generator to start. Second time in four years Westinghouse
gen has failed, not impressive at all. Honda doesn't make big gens and we all know they cost at least twice as much. That leaves only a few name
brands to choose from. Though I see Northern Tools makes a gen with a Honda twin engine.

problem with these gens is no one to fix them. Nearest authorized Westinghouse gen dealer is a body shop in Delran NJ, a body shop?
not encouraging.
unfortunately my favorite McGyver is booked for next few days, poor guy has to work...
at least no power outages likely any time soon. I ordered a new on/off switch overnight so will try that today, after
doublechecking oil low pressure switch. Just changed oil, not low oil.
thankfully am on a generator thread here and smarter minds than mine are on the case.

going to be a warm day, 67 out now going up to high 80's.

59 but going to touch 90 for the first time in a while. Finally got a little rain...two storms added up to about a quarter of an inch, but got 2 nice rainbows out of it.

Buppies, I found the bear poop in our woods, and rarely take Della there, just around the edge or the fields. But we have still had all the usual animals come near the house since we got her...bears, deer, raccoons, foxes, opossums, coyotes, etc. I guess she doesn't emit a scary scent.

Son and granddaughter coming tonight for several days...his wife is in Peru and he wants my wife's help with babysitting...and she loves it. I'll enjoy it too, of course. We have a trip to watch the Orioles/Dodgers play and a big mountain hike planned. Della likes it, too, since he'll bring their two dogs.

some car stuff:
those of you who have a heads up display in your car will appreciate this
I think HUD is wonderful because I don't have to move my eyesight off the road.
Last two cars had it, this one doesn't, and I miss it.

well it's now being kicked up to a whole new level.
HUD is a little movie projector of sorts, displaying your speed (and sometimes the speed limit) on your screen.
BMW has now taken that idea and is starting what I think will be a new trend in cars.
Your gauges won't be in the dash any more. They will be projected up onto the glass.
I'm sure it's cheaper that way too....though notice BMW has to blacken that glass area to get it to work, which clearly
is a no no higher up.

in heaven I'll have a panel of about a dozen easy to read VDO gauges please
instead...like in Star Trek, we'll be waving our hands around and virtual reality gizmos will
connect us and drive us. Well our kids, probably not us.

cars are no longer cars and means of transportation; they are rolling entertainment pods
no wonder they cost so much. And with the recall rate of modern cars and trucks, pretty clear
all that complexity has come at a real cost to reliability.

these huge car screens are part of the "glass dash" movement that started with planes, now on all the big yachts,
and trickling down to our cars.

techies must love this stuff. Dealerships stay afloat because of it.
the reality is my next older brother still can't figure out what half the buttons and functions do on his
BMW M850, it's all too complicated for him.

when Kubota redesigns their next nice Grand Cab, I bet it has a larger glass dashboard in it, and more screens.

this is why sales are very good for simpler cars like the Ford Maverick pickup.
I bet if we ask RNG how easy it was for him to figure out his new Camry, probably pretty easy.
The German cars seem to be leading the way in complexity as they try to one-up each other.
Lincoln has been putting giant screens in dashboards for several years now. Should be interesting to
see how that works out after warranty.

Good morning TBN!!
58 this morning. .04 in the gauge yesterday with heat and humidity returning. 90 today and tomorrow with late after noon storms possible.

Easy day yesterday mostly putting away tools and cleaning from the truck brake job.
Made a mess of the garage floor walking in brake dust and dismantling the drums.
Have to finish up today and get all the stuff back in to the holes they live in.
No agenda today but no lack of things to choose from either.
Country town garage sale tomorrow. Looking forward to that cause they had good "stuff" last year. Already got my cash and ready to go :) Hate to offer like $5 for a $10 dollar item and then have to ask for change from the $10! LOL So I make sure I have small bills and large just in case.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good morning, the low is 48 and going up to 59°F. Wind ESE 11 gusting to 17 mph. Showers. Raining now. 40 to 50 mph winds later today. Guaranteed no bugs flying.

A dump/town run today, then see what comes up.

Those HUD windshields are uber expensive. I have a buddy that has one in his Pontiac and it got busted.

Have a safe day all

63 outside this AM, heading to upper 80's. If we had rain yesterday (we did) it was quick and only registered visually for a minute. To the north east of us, they look like they got a way lot more. Had a nice rainbow out of it.

Managed to get back from the Doctors with no bad news, but no good news either. Still have that pain on occasion and all are scratching their heads over it. Feels like a groin pull put stops me in my tracks. Was OK for a long while, then started up again. Been real careful lifting things.... Also managed to get an pneumonia shot. Had a bad experience last year with a cold that ended up in the lungs. Not doing that dance again. Overall, should be good for another year....

On the home front, still in design phase for hot tub layout. Not on me, just need to hook it up and get water in it. Noticed our pool got trashed with the "storm" that came through yesterday. Leaves are in drop mode around here. Crunchy dry and no color....

Last day of the work week at the real job, Better get at it. Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

so nice to look out and see everything green again, even the tomato plants are darker green.
pretty sure I could not live in a s/w US. This green is too nice.

and out come the robins but not enough rain to flush out many worms

Bird feeder is busy birds cleaning out every day now.

Prayers for all our Country

Good morning folks. Its the 40's this am with a brisk NW wind. Got rain overnight and NOAA says the chance is 60% today. Love to get in the garage and do some snow implement work done. Lawn will need to be mowed if it ever dries. A lake boat unloaded road salt off here yesterday so fall is sneaking up on us.
