Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 34 going to 65 and sunny, looks like we had our first light frost.
Considering that 2 days ago it was in the 80's, it feels cold.
But there is less bugs, so bring it on!

Drew, looks like the black bear has traveled some and is now half way between our houses.
Some larger roads in the way, so we'll see where the next sighting is.

Did move the splitter last night so I can get rounds to it using the tractor and put it vertical. About all the time I had after work and before the sun set.

Thank you Muhammad for getting us back in.

Be well,

Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 49° heading to a high of 66°. Frost warning was accurate, the truck needed a few minutes this morning to clear a surprisingly heavy frost. Two doe in the back yard this morning, one in the orchard. Which is surprising as archery season is in now.

Absolutely crazy week this week. We simply don't have the manpower to do everything at work and I'm hitting the end of my rope. Thinking there might be something better out there for me that promotes more work/life balance rather than WORK/life. Time to blow the dust off the resume and see what's out there.

This Saturday I go look at a different house, since the other one went pending on me...again. It's a little far away from my current workplace, but time will tell if it's the one for me or not. Getting a little dispirited, as I'd like to move forward with my life and relationship, and not having the house and land is seriously holding me back. I know something is out there for me, I just need to find it.

When I get back from that on Saturday, I'll take care of the brush Grandma cut. She's downsizing her gardens to what she can manage easily by herself, so she's been generating a lot of yard waste. She normally takes it over to the Burrough, but that involves bagging it, loading it in the truck, and then paying to dispose of it. I've been harping on her to just throw it in the bed of her truck and then drive out to our place. I can easily get it with the grapple and squirrel it away in the hedgerow where it won't ever be noticed again.

Parents and the dog made it safely down to the beach, for how long remains a question. If it keeps raining, I'm sure they'll be back.

I'm in the same boat as L4N, Good Post I use more of a marker of where I left off. Perhaps I should investigate a better alternative. I too am sorry to see BEF go, I hope he'll return. However Drew is right, there's so much more to life than just a post count. However I am relieved that our Overseer Muhammad has fixed it. :)

I think I'll spend a rainy Sunday sharpening the saws and getting ready for firewood.

Y'all Stay Safe out there and Be well!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

48 going to 66.

Buppies, I'm with you...I don't much care about what sub-forum this thread is in, or post counts, etc...but, just didn't think the everyday discourse we have on Good Morning was worthy of censorship. Parts of our world are still upside down. At least I'm not seeing any advertisements anymore.

Mowed grass yesterday...always interesting to me to see how the grass changes this time of year as it shifts one last time to try to reproduce with seed stalks rather than grass blades.

I need to restore the headlight lens on my 2016 truck...getting almost 10 years is pretty good. I know Project Farm did a review about a year ago and will check that out. I think one of you did this recently and was impressed with your product performance...was that you popgadget? Are you still pleased? Anyone else?

Weather forecasters have very different views of the storm coming up the coast...one I just watched says a quarter to half an inch, the other says 3 to 5 inches. Hope it's in between.
If the lens is yellowed thru and thru, you might be wasting your time IMO. If it is surface crust, you can do the process.

59F and sunny @ 12:00, heading up to around 68F for the day's high. LWS reports that the low this morning was 31.9F.

I wasn't up so didn't see if it frosted here then ... but ought to be able to tell if it did from the condition of The Woman's flowers and other plants.

Rain chances they were calling for over the weekend have evaporated, but otherwise the Ten Day is looking pretty good:

Got the hopper, both tube, and both suet feeders refilled yesterday, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Setting more 4 x 4 posts is on the agenda for today but I need to see what I have left as far as coated posts go.

Need to get a measurement on the cross beam for the H-brace at the southeast corner post and get it cut to length.

Will probably work some on coating more post sides too. They seem to dry up decently in the sun ... even with the cooler temps.

Drilling the hole for the spike for the H-brace on the northeast corner post was problematic as the only 3/8 twist drill bits I have are 5" long (the posts are 6" or better) ... so added a 12" bit to the Menards shopping cart.

Also have some gate hardware that I need to exchange while I'm down as it is the wrong size for the ABS that I'm using for the gates.

Otherwise just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent day ... (y)
