Good morning!!!!

Decided to go ahead and mow this afternoon since the sky cleared, the sun was out, and it was reasonably warm temp-wise (low-mid 60’s) Not going to get much better any time soon.

Got the front all done:

IMG_3891 copy.jpg

Starting to get some decent color, probably peak within the next week or so.

After that hit the compost/woodlot hit as well since it was looking pretty shaggy.

Then got some of the east side down by the house done as well as the area over the leach field.

Garden fence really starting to take shape:

Special Weather Statement issued: cold front just blew in with high wind gusts, heard tree fall over in the woods. Now raining with possibility of thunderstorms.

Work on finishing up Menards order and get that placed, then more research on water storage and sanitation.

Hope everyone had a decent day ... (y)

I really don't want over a 12 ft high door, but might go to 14 ft door, but that makes a tall, narrow building at 16 ft tall.
If it were me, 14 ft would be about the minimum height, due to the 13'6", plus entry ramp, plus...

All the best, Peter

assume you mean door height at 14 ft, then all sizes should fit in.. My camper is only 10'6" to clear the ac unit.

saw this one today, thought that is what i need.. although i would go a little wider to fit truck in beside it, or do a lower shed off the side for the truck.

Good evening all. 61ºF for the start, partly cloudy, breezy. Moderate wind, clear sky, and high temp was 79ºF. Made coffee to start day. Grief share, the found out I could cut wood today so got a truck load of dry pecan rounds. Nap after lunch, then no time to ride so unloaded truck. Should get it spit over next few days.

Morning all!
Currently 51 and raining. Hopefully will rain all day as it's way to dry here. Had a strange visitor yesterday. Mixed in with a bunch of chickadees.
IMG_3026.jpg

Spending lot's of time chasing leaves and acorns still! Not sure if I mentioned the hose for the leaf vac split on me the other day or not. New one is expected in today.
Will spend the day in the shop I think. Need to recuperate from chain sawing up some maple chunks from a large maple tree that came down at my sister's. It was taken down by the town power company as it would take out the main line if it fell. The base of the tree was close to 8 feet around! It had a hollow spot in the center that was a couple of feet around! Was a good choice to have it removed.
IMG_3054.jpg

Couple of small projects were done this week during my down time.
Gifts made for the people that gave me some wood.
IMG_3031.jpg

Another cigar holder. This one made with Koa.
IMG_3048.jpg

Made a tribute piece for my sister inlaw.
IMG_3038.jpg

Also made some door handle shims for a 1926 Dodge my brother is making into a roadster of sorts. It has a combination of wood and steel body panels.
IMG_3050.jpg

Guess I got more done than I though! Lol.
Tomorrow is a few hours in the hospital for injections in the neck to try and stop the pain. Wish me luck!
Time for more coffee.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 41° with off and on spurts of rain. Heading to 50° with continued off and on rain. .27" of rain since yesterday. Put blade sharpener back together. Tested on a spare set of blades. Works good. Have a new seat for JD mower. To fit my mower needs a mounting plate and mounting pins. Got the plate cut. Need to make pin mounts today. Neighbor needed post hole dug. Put post hole on tractor and got that done. Talked to Harvey yesterday. Good Genes and Attitude is getting hime thru all the medical problems lately. Will not be long and he will out in the shop working on his projects again. Other than shop work no other plans for today.
Getting some color in trees.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 40 and going up to 50°F. Wind E 7 mph. 60% chance of showers.

This damp weather has my knees screaming for mercy and for the past two weeks my right shoulder has been acting up too.
I've got rotator cuff tendonitis in that one.

I have a smallish portable stereo box that I used to listen to Sirius on that has an AUX 3.5mm female jack as well as a headphone jack and a 'source' button. I have ordered a splitter from amazon as well as a 10' cable to listen to my 10 gigs of music that is on the 'puter. I have a 3.5mm double male cable that would work without the extra stuff but it is too short to route any other way but straight across from the PC to the stereo. That is why the extra 10' cable to get the cables out of the way. I am hoping the 5 way splitter will support microphone out too. My Sennhiser HD 569 headphones do support mic out and I use them exclusively to listen to you tube videos and talk on the phone, just not at the same time.

My thoughts go out to the people in Alaska effected by the typhoon.

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all

   / Good morning!!!! #213,050
good morning all
warmer morning, still some showers out, but clearing up to sunshine in high 60's.
full day planned, headed over to my wheelchair bound friend to babysit him while his wife
is in NYC. He really can't be left alone any more, can't always get up if he falls over. A sobering situation
seeing as he was in my high school class.

then after lunch I head to Campers Inn in Hatfield to look at a travel trailer there and see if they have any interest
in taking my rv on trade. They are technically a dealer for Gulfstream so who knows. They are the last of the three local
rv dealers I have contacted.

as far as rv height, 14 feet would be best, 12 feet would cover most smaller rigs
the one I built in NC was 12 high, and yes it looked a little odd, but I had it built to heavy duty specs with extra bracing.
you might get lucky where slide goes out in between uprights

I think a common theme here is give us a shed or garage and we will surely fill it up. So go large.

The height of an RV varies significantly by class.

  • Class A Motorhomes: Often called the "giants of the RV world," these typically range from 12 to 14 feet tall and frequently reach the legal maximum of 13 feet, 6 inches.
  • Fifth-Wheel Trailers: Similar to large Class A motorhomes, these towable RVs often have average heights between 12 and 13.5 feet.
  • Class C Motorhomes: These RVs typically range from 10 to 12 feet tall, with some models being over 12 feet.
  • Travel Trailers: Their height varies widely by size and design, with most between 10 and 11 feet high. Larger, full-featured travel trailers can get close to 12 feet.
  • Class B Motorhomes (Camper Vans): These are the smallest RVs and are generally under 12 feet, typically ranging from 8 to 11 feet tall.
