Good morning, the highest temp for today is 40 and gong down to 36°F later. Wind WSW 11 gusting to 17 mph. Periods of rain or snow.

Still haven't mucked out the cats. At least I got my sleep schedule back on track. In the sack at 10:30, up at 3 for a P, then up for good at 6:30.

Have a safe day all

34 outside right now, heading to mid 70's. Not a typo.... wow.

Beaver moon was awesome. Sat on the porch with hot coffee and watched it set for the day..... funny though, super quiet out there...no birds chirping..no cows mooing. Odd.

Here is a better shot of Mr. Beaver from the other day. I will go see what the game cams have to offer up later in the day.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe, in both travels and daily activities.

snow
well we've had two easy winters, by luck of draw expect this one to dump some more on us.

after a lot of trips out to rv packing stuff, had to take a break and sit down.
got the birds fed and will blow the leaves away from the door before I leave.
41 out, had to put heavy coat on but should warm up soon

Ron has the best birds and the best moons. His frogs are good too... ;)

Had a good night of sleeping in the camper. Was wondering if cheaper to heat with propane or electric, so started with both on. Then gas turned off, never ran again and electric maintained.
Lots of deer down along the creek, like the new cell camera.

definitely cheaper to heat with electric if campground is paying for it.
I find the propane heater very noisy, only use it to take initial chill off and then set it at 65.
if electric won't hold it, which my two small space heaters usually do, then the propane heater kicks on.
trying to heat only with propane means refilling bottles.
but during day, I never leave the electric heaters on, same in my home.

my friends with their new 24 foot travel trailer said noise of propane heater bothered them, they kept the small rv
warm with an electric heater set on low. They don't have a slide so think it holds heat in better.

breakfast and last cup of coffee done. Back to work.

Good morning TBN!!!
34 this morning and supposed to be 70 with wind picking up.

Started my day setting up Google assistant on my watch. Now Google will turn on the heat from anywhere I have my watch on. Have it on mt phone but thought it would be a nice novelty.
Took the buggy a couple of miles yesterday. One, brake, no reverse and a very ragged seat not bolted down but what the hay...I don't need those anyways :)
Spent some time cleaning the garage up some. Buddy came over at about 5:30 to work on his trailer.
Only it wasn't his trailer. Wanted to weld the hinge back on. But it really didn't help. Frozen up and hadn't been lubed in a long time. Did the best we could and he loaded up his 4x4 and off he went.

Indeed a spectacular Beaver Moon!!

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Morning all, 37 going to 67 and sunny.
Voted, made a HD run, then to Dr. where I finally got my referral to the specialist, who won't see me without one, and even then who knows.
Home to move out some trees and rocks from the back area. Got quite a bit done.
Then we gave the dog a bath, she was getting a bit stinky.

The $600/month is family plan at work PPO.

Gotta watch those walls Ponytug, I've broken toes that way, not fun.

While moving around on the tractor, a doe being chased by 2 bucks zoomed by, doubt they noticed the running tractor or anything else.

back to the day job.

Be well,

This fallen tree just barely fit between the other trees, but is now over on the pile.

At one time this was a solid 4' tall wall of rounds, finally getting them processed.

My sump pump crapped out just before the power went off the other day. It had been in service for 2.5 years. Put the spare on line, now I've ordered 2 more spares. They will sit on the shelf until needed. $114.99x2=$229.98+13%tax=$259.88

Today I will definitely muck out the cats' litter trays.

Good Morning
Today started at 40° and sunny. High of 60 and breezy is what’s expected.

Yesterday I spent way too much time trying to get my outdoor mesh nodes back on line. I made the assumption that it was automatic firmware update that took them both off line at the same time. Sooo….
I wrestled an extension ladder up in the wind and took the first one down. I did a reset and tried to reconnect it, but it was still offline. Next try was to reset it and configure it as a stand alone WiFi router so I could install an earlier version of firmware. After a few tries that was successful, so I reconfigured it to a mesh node, and it connected.
Put the ladder back up and reinstalled it outside. Tested it, worked great. A few hours later it was off line. Arghhh…
New one will be here tomorrow.
There was a brief thunderstorm, a few days ago, but no sign of anything else damaged, including cameras on the same POE switch. I’m at a loss as to what happened, unless it did another firmware update on its own. Maybe tomorrow when I put the new one up, I’ll reset the old one and check the firmware version to see if that was the case. Other than that, I’m at a loss.

Today a few chores around here and then off to Palm Beach.

75°F and no rain. Passing showers indicated for the morning.

Tundra successfully serviced. 2 recalls on record. 1 a 2 hour software update for next time and 1 with no fix yet.

Would like to finish up my tree limbs today. I can see the green growth getting ready to call my name again. I’ll take that over having to move the white stuff.

Attempted to view the moon but a thin cloud cover intervened.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

checking out health care plans. my plan from last year going up 42%, to over $600 a month, for me and my wife.....
It's a great way to keep people in the work force longer.... have them piggyback off their employer...if the employer offers coverage.

63F and partly cloudy @ 12:00, calling for a high of 64F. Clinton Station reports the low this morning hit 34.6F.

Got meds doled out first thing yesterday.

Then paid phone bill.

After that got outside and started blowing leaves with the Cub. Wind not as bad as they were predicting. Got the back all done and had started on the west side. Knew I was getting low on fuel so pulled around front.

Could not locate 5 gallon can to take down to the corner (buried under a bunch of junk The Woman piled in the garage ... 🤬 ) Saw 2 1/2 gallon with about 1/2 gallon old Stihl premix in it, dumped that into the Cub and headed down to the corner and got 2 1/2 gallons.

Put that in the Cub when I got back and fired it up and headed back over to the west side to continue on. Cub didn't like that and started missing and finally died, wouldn't restart and remaining running ... wore battery down trying to get it running. Had to tow it back around front with the Kubota ... PITA ... 🤬

Threw in the towel and went and refilled the hopper feeder and both suet feeders. Also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

After that I got all the studs cut to length that I had in stowed in the garage.

Took the Kubota over and grabbed another 16 out of the barn and stuck 6 - 8 of those in the garage.

Got the last 3 studs for the 8' section of the south wall in the utility room cut to length.

Took down the studs for the 4' section of the west wall.

Did a little more trimming on the section of foam board that goes around the 1" copper pipe coming from the well into the house and got that glued and put up.

Fired up the little Craftsman compressor and opened the drain valve and got no water ... (y)

Put a few drops of air tool oil in the "new" (actually old, as it was purchased a while back) Milwaukee framing nailer and nailed up the 4' section of stud wall that will go on the west wall in the utility room.

Then promptly found out I have a clearance problem getting it back to where it needs to go ... 🤬

Will need to remove the 3/4 copper line that was coming from the softener and cap that off so I can move it into place.

At that point it was around 23:30 and I'd had enough so called it a day.

Agenda for today:

Pay trash bill.

Get the Cub hooked up on the battery charger and see if I can't get it started once charged.

If successful, then more leaf blowing.

Move the rest of the 2 x 4's into the garage for trimming.

Move the 2 x 4's I've already trimmed around to basement door and get those put inside.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

good afternoon, 66 high, was near 70 nice day

D invited us out for lunch and we all had seafood at a nice restaurant. Wife had a Blue Moon Draft beer that she likes. I dont drink alcohol since it upsets my stomach. Finally not taking any meds for it except occasional Imodium.
Wife tells everyone about daughter and says we look alike. Can't you tell she asks? Usually getting lots of laughs
Spent some time cutting firewood pieces that are too long for the stove since they were in the way for starting the second row. No easy way to do this but used a pallet and placed a few pieces on it, stepped on them and cut them with the Makita and loaded on the RTV. Got halfway done on that
The Dogwood is still holding on to leaves and colors
