Around here, it's the same, and the chaser and the chasee often take out vehicles, jumping onto the road from above or below the road. I've learned to watch for game trails, but they jump up from below, you sometimes have no chance. We've lost one vehicle from an unseen deer that leapt up and was all of ten feet in front of the car.

Fall and a return to standard time doesn't exactly help either.

Expect some wind tonight, we just had a front come thru at 40-50 mph. electric took a hit a few times, tripped one of my breakers. I first thougth it had fried some stuff
Do think it took out the microwave, it is blank, no, just the gfi tripped, and no climbing thru windows to get to it.

Got the cats mucked out AND both compost piles turned.

10 hours of running the genny after the electric outage the other night cost me 5 gallons of premium gas. I have 12 gallons in reserve so I am not in any big hurry to refill that jerry can.

Snowed today about 1/4" on the grass, none on the driveway.

Tomorrow will be an energy conservation day in preparation for Fridays' dump run.

Commuter car was making a noise coinciding with speed. Thought it was rear wheel but turned out to be front. I jacked up all 4 corners and had wifey gas it. Ended up doing a rear brale pad replacement yesterday. Not fun with the screw in type calipers.
Tonight got the front bearing hub replaced.
I'm sore and tired.
online parts are about 1/3rd the price of local auto supply. I try to give locals some bizness.
Online pads $30. Local $66+tax
Ouch.
Then at 930pm I had to blast a skunk 100 ft in front of my house.
Don't want the dog to get sprayed.

Good evening all. 56ºF for the start, mostly clear sky and light breeze. Light wind, moderate to brisk gusts, mostly clear sky, and high temp was 79ºF. Made coffee to start day, Men's Meeting, office work, bought new phone, took 1.5 hours, sad. Town trip for lunch and groceries. Bike ride when I got back then dinner with group.

Coffee has finished brewing. 26° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 52° with partly cloudy skies. Got all the things that may freeze put aways for the winter yesterday. Helped a neighbors get their sprinkler system wintized. After grocery shopping this morning will trim down all the garden plants around my yard.
Colors out my kitchen window are very bright this year.

51 going up into sixties today, sun and wind.
Dennis, oh boy when that wind hit last night it was
quite something. Worse is I forgot if I retracted the awning the last foot, and
I tried to open door to look and almost got sucked out of rv. Slammed the door shut, hit the retract button for several seconds, made no noise, so I guess all ok.
I was rocking around; this will be first time experience for my friends 50 feet away in their new camper.

We are parked under some very large oak trees. Will be interesting to see what it looks like outside at daybreak. For now the coffee pot dinged and some fruit salad and my friend's wife's homemade apple muffins later.

we are headed into Chestertown to play tourist, bakery, distillery, farm market, shops.
It was hard for me to walk last night to the restaurant so will need to find myself a comfortable place to plop myself down on a bench, maybe with my Kindle while they walk the little town. They are major hikers, opposite of me right now.
I'm looking for something yummy at the bakery for dessert tonight.

as predicted, very poor wifi here, but at least youtube worked on the tv where it had nice background jazz and a fake fireplace in the tv.

Punta Cana, 75 to start going to 87.
Looks to be a beautiful day again, which is great because our youngest son and his family get in this afternoon. I’m sure the kids will be excited to get here.

We had a great time at dinner last night, we pushed a few tables together and 8 of our friends that came down to the island had a nice dinner together.

Time to go out and find a cappuccino for Kathleen.

Good morning TBN folks! Its about 35 degrees here in Houghton MI this am while 20 at camp and 45 is a predicted high at both locations. Ya, being away from the lake does that. It rained some here yesterday. Looking at our forecast, we have some winter like weather moving in. Snow wheels are being installed on my truck today. We almost canceled our trip to camp Covington for the weekend, but now we are going. Dearest is slow at work and she might take Monday off......

I didn't hear any trees come down, thankfully all the walnuts and elms have already lost their leaves, but the oaks and maples are still leafed out, and I'm sure I'm going to have a hell of a lot of branches to pick up this weekend. Power "browned" out a dozen times, but never totally lost it.

We got about 1/2" of snow between yesterday evening and this morning. Most of my green grass is now white. Driveway is still brown though.

The only thing I need to do today is hang up the door mat for winter.

Work ran late, wife made Fajitas, put decorations up in storage.

I finally got a referral to the Dr. Specialist for January. He refused to see me twice, now my Dr. got him to take me, will be early January.

Wind knocked some stuff down in the yard, will need to do damage assessment later. Probably a lot more branches down.

Need to move my plow somewhere more accessable and get the forks stowed somewhere that I can get them on to move more wood pieces during the winter. No more room inside. Also need to rearrange garage for winter mode, store lawn tractor, move out and maintenance on snow blower etc.

If LaNina goes to almost neutral riptides you will be pushing snow in December and a good amount. The cold shot coming Sunday and Monday will be rude awakening temperature wise and while it will be short lived think December and January will be remembered for cold and snow/ice. Don and mostly will get in on the cold too.
