Scott, here is a picture of Baxter, my stepbrother's woody.
He did a marvelous frame off restoration on it, did most of the wood himself, has five model A's
and active in club down here.

the question is what younger folks really want to drive one of these historic relics?
most of us need a memory attachment, like my grandfather had one of those....

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 11C and it's presently 14.9C, overcast & fairly calm. Light rain in the forecast.

Yesterday's wood-stacking progressed well with my reaching the 2/3rd 'mark'.

As per usual, I'm off to Church (leading Morning Prayer) in a few minutes and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

one more pic
tailgating at its best
all these folks sitting around looking happily smug, getting into the moment
these are younger guests.

now which way does this spark lever go?

Hmmm, well nobody I know ever owned a "Woody", but I've always admired the early vehicles with wood coach work. Your stepbrother did a gorgeous job!

The great thing about an adjustable spark advance is the driver gets to figure it out! A friend in high school did a frame off rebuild of a Model A, and I vividly remember him taking me for an early test drive. I was less than thrilled when I saw him a few days later and he mentioned three out of the four studs on one wheel had stripped out due to (presumed) metal fatigue. He'd been driving circles around the town square, and out of respect for an old friend, I'd rather not speculate on how fast he might have been going. 🤣

Thanks for the photos. They put a smile on my face.

All the best, Peter

I'll take Thomas's lemon pudding and trade that for my apple crisp tonight
I bet both were good
nice dinner at brother's home, drank two glasses of that nice wine I bought in VA,
yes a very nice bottle as it should be for the price. But two glasses of red start to percolate
in my stomach, definitely my limit.

didn't get to as much as I hoped today, kind of lazed out, but tomorrow is another day to
get to my get tos. Never got over 49 outside, was not motivated. Should be a few degrees warmer tomorrow.
hope you all have a good Sat night and Wagtail hope your service went nicely, make sure the new day comes in smoothly
for all the rest of us.

starting to plan a new england rv trip. Likely in Spring
my friends want to go to the Fingerlakes, that's pretty far West but clearly beautiful.
from a traffic standpoint, further I stay away from coast in new england, less people and cars.
I think it might be fun to go see Provincetown but that's quite a haul all the way out there. Reminds me of driving to
Key West.

so what along the coast of New England can I not miss?
I went to school in Providence Ri and have no desire to go back, nor do I want to see the tourist historic sites in Boston.
I've already been to maine and llbean.
think I'm better staying further inland

what really messes up all my planning is gardening. I can hire someone to mow the lawn while I'm away, but gardens
take TLC. Sounds like I need to simplify and cut back a little

Coffee is done brewing. 36° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 50° with plenty of sun. Got oil and filter changed in Mule.
Neighbor is going to remodel their bathroom. So took them to a place that sells fancy toilets. Almost every thing they had on display had a Bidet attached to it. New toilet must have straight sides. Top price for one of these was over $10k. Amazing all the features that can be on these toilets. I thought I was on the high end with my $200 Bidet. On the way home we stopped at Menard's to see what they have. About 30 toilets on display. One had all the features of the $10k model for $1k. But did not have the name Toto on it.
Another neighbor called to say he had time if I wanted to bring my car over.he could assist with oil change. Got it done. I was very tired and fell asleep in recliner early in the evening. Woke up at 3:30 am.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 30 and going up to 39°F. Wind SE 8 mph. 60% chance of showers.

I am back on my regular sleep schedule. Thankfully.

I stumbled on an interesting video yesterday, The English Electric Canberra. It is about an aircraft built by a locomotive company. An hour and 46 minutes long.

Neighbour made me some awesome banana bread Friday. Had 1/3 of the loaf yesterday with supper and will have the other 2/3 with my ribs today.

Time for breakfast, have a safe day all
