Good morning!!!!

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 11C and it's presently 16.3C [heading to 21C?], overcast with misty rain & calm. There was 7.9mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Yesterday involved a trip to the PO to mail Christmas cards and Christmas presents to ensure that they get 'there' on time. Later on there was a break in the rain, long enough to get over to the Church and make that roof repair. All it took was a couple of long roofing screws.

Today will be spent watching the rain come down. (y)

Happy Birthday David!

That's about it, take care all.

🤣 I had to reread your message to catch that.

@LouNY FWIW: I use a truck specific Garmin when hauling. I've had too many friends have to back trailers up miles to get to a turnaround point after following instructions down some fictitious route. One Spring, an acquaintance powered onward with his RV towing horses through leftover corn snow for ten plus miles in the Sierras, along a very twisty road with drop-offs in the hundreds of feet in many spots before coming to a massive drift that completely blocked the road. He then had to back out ten miles. The horses were not amused by all accounts (according to his daughter). I drive the road most years in July, and it is pretty white knuckle experience for me even then. No guardrails and the road is barely pasted onto the side of the mountain. The idea of spinning and lurching through deep corn snow inclines seems to be taking a lot of extra risk to me.

Today was time to change of the fuel filters in the 3126. Servicing the water separator leaked more diesel than I would like, instead of draining, but I had forgotten to shutoff the inlet and allow air in so it could drain at full flow. 🙄 Operator error. It fired right up with no stumbles. I'm always impressed how fast the priming pump is on that engine.

Then the air quality went to pieces. It's 80-100 out right now. Just a warm, calm day, and air trapped over the city and wafting over to us. Ick.

Time for a good book or movie.

All the best,

Peter

Shoulder is really hurting tonight. Tried to lay in bed, but hurt too much. Tried heat, now have cold on it. Think cold is working better. This different than the upper arm pain I was having. Will probably sit in chair all night.
