finished and installed my kitchen pot holder and feel really good about, as in
I didn't screw it up.
no stripped screws
no gouged wood
every screw sunk hard into wood
not going anywhere

I'm sure helped by Popgadget's reminder about adding a little soap to the big four inch screws, helped them go in.
I had to change Makita 3/8 drill to driver setting, stalled on everything else.
nice to see top of my stove again

   / Good morning!!!! #215,199
Morning all, 30 going to 40 with a light dusting of snow this morning.
Met up with my son at Rockefeller center (I worked on the 17th floor at 30 rock for a while).
Then the wife and he did some ice skating, hot chocolate.
We went off to Bryant park to their Christmas market, which gets bigger every year and is not spilling out onto the sidewalks.
Then over to the other side of the park to warm up a bit in the NY Public Library. My Grandmother remembered when this piece of land was actually a reservoir and saw the library and park being built.
Then back uptown for dinner and home, good visit with son and he is almost done with classes and will be home soon.
Today back to freezing while working on the jeep and running errands. Bought a used B&K Precision power supply to test the relays, motor etc. Not looking forward to being upside down, we will see how dizzy I get.

I went through a 7.2 shock and 6.9 rolling earthquake when I worked out in California, and few more smaller after shocks (when working in a military trailer on wheeled chairs). Lots of road damage and a building my friend was working in blew out some of the windows and a bowling alley up the road from him partially collapsed. Our hotel got some damage to one of the outside walls.

Wngsprd - that's a lot of hiking, glad you were able to get so much good time outside.

We do still send some Christmas cards, not as many as we used to, still lots of work.

The place we had dinner was one of the ones my Inlaws really loved, happy memories form there.

Train was delayed over an hour, typical for NJ transit, the worst train system in the US and most expensive.

Be well

Saks building dressed for the holidays, amazed how many big buildings are dressed up on Park Ave. Crowded and a bit crazy, can just imagine what this weekend and next will be like.
