Good Morning! 33˚F heading to the upper 50s with clear skies and N winds.

BIL had a terrible wreck on his motorcycle with an 18 wheeler yesterday in Columbus TX and was lifeflighted to Houston 75 miles away. Might be making a trip to Houston this week.

34 here this morning and won't get much warmer. Supposed to get a mixed bag of precip through the day. Came across a picture of our last snow yesterday Jan. 16 2021.

Spent the day fussing with the thermostat that ended with a service call. Searched and searched for a fuse I knew I probably blew. He found it. Hidden away under the mainboard with a cover on it. Tech had never seen a glass fuse!! Went and got him a match out of my collection of a couple hundred I still have. I never throw anything good away
Anyways got it all situated and working but, this morning we have no heat. I am thinking I is a belt. But I heard the fan earlier and now nothing. I'll crawl up in the attic and see if I can see it. If not they will be coming back out again today. Build a fire in our cheap little fireplace in the meantime.
Watched a good portion of the Buffalo/ Cinci game. It was fun to watch them in the snow but, I was disappointed as the Bengals lost.

Time for a second cup.

good morning, 28 going to 34 feels like 18 they say

First cup of coffee, walked Cody and he was reacting to something out there in the dark but did his thing

Restoked the fire and got it going good with some choice pieces of wood

Did not enlist at the volunteer drive at Harpers Ferry but it was nice to see everyone all dressed in period clothing

Was 35 when I woke up now 32 and snowing 5 in or better this go round. Was going to fix flat on tractor but while fixing breakfast took Hollys pills instead of mine oh my. I immediately realized my mistake gave her hers what a ride what wild dreams.

36 outside right now, that will be the high today. May get a dusting of snow again

The coffee maker is not cooperating this AM, so I went to manual mode. Think it is close to 15 years old, maybe time for a new one.

Will move some wood around today and feed the stove. Nothing else on the agenda. All family back to where they need to be and we are settling down into the holiday mode and spirits.

BEF, hope your back improves. I have a daily stretch and strengthen routine to keep mine from hurting...when I skip it, I pay.

Arly, I finally looked up Houghton, MI on the map...wow, you are on the UP of the UP! Cold...your place looks like fun. Do you have an antifreeze solution in the snow grooming attachment?

I filled up the wood rack yesterday...5 wheelbarrow loads because I didn't want to start up the tractor and drive on soft ground...plus I wanted the exercise. I already need to bring in another.

I came home and folded cards for Kathleen. Every year she paints 4 watercolors, 8” by 10” and brings them into Staples , who in turn , turn them into note cards stock. This year’s theme is Spring , Summer , Fall and winter from our Vermont home. This year she made enough cards for 60 packets. I believe we just had enough to give to friend and family.

Morning all, 27 going all the way up to 31 and cloudy.
Frustrating day trying to get gas with most of town closed off for tree lighting, started pretty early.
Then off to Peddlars village, which was packed again, dog was happy.

Put direct 12v to Fan in the jeep and it spins, slowly. New blower and resister pack (known to fail when blower wears out) $200, will be here Tuesday for me to install, next 40F + day.

Prayers for your BIL Don, hope he gets the best attention available.
