Good Morning
25° now, was 28 when I got up. Be in the low teens when I get up tomorrow.

Yesterday i did manage to get the shop rearranged, and the snow blade and counter weight on the tractor.

There is a hydraulic auger on the dolly between the counterweight and the Lazer. The weight overhangs the auger, hence the jackstands and timber for it to sit on.

Didn’t accomplish much else, did pack up the wife’s wares from the holiday market. She said it was the beat weekend for sales that she has ever had.

Did a few odds and ends in the shop, watched a movie and some youtube, but never started a fire.

I had 3D printed a cup and cellphone holder for the little plane to replace the ashtray. Of course my latest phone outgrew the pocket that i designed for the old one.

So a Version 1.2 Is printing now.

Not sure what else will distract me today, but I bet I stay busy until bedtime.

nice to hear from you two bit.

has anyone tried the chub beef from Costco?
Ten pound tubes, told you have to ask a butcher for it.
92 percent lean so not good for burgers but lots of other uses.

have held off buying hamburger in last month waiting for price to go down.
It's gone up.
what used to be four bucks a pound is now six. Wow.
but you can get back to four dollars if you buy in quantity and then repackage and freeze.
Just wondering what the quality is like.
not like you can be choosy as to what goes in most commercial ground beef.
I believe the lowest level of quality is "floor scrapings".

growing your own avocados is very cool Peter.
Almost enough to make me want to live there...
But I did come to visit my sister in Muir Beach

wow, new storm hazard
high winds mean flying avocados?
Our trees aren't quite tall enough for flying avocados. The windstorm just flattened the tree. Very sad.

As a kid, we had some acquaintances (stiff upper lip types) who had a monster avocado tree (60'+ high) in their backyard. Being of the stiff upper lip variety, they insisted on still having afternoon tea on the back patio, under the avocado. Everyone had to wear pith helmets. As a kid, I elected not to have tea; the impact damage of an overripe avocado dropping 50' is a sight. On the bright side, it wasn't a fuerte avocado. I've found four or five pound monsters hiking around in in Hawai'i.

@sodamo I hadn't quite appreciated how much rain you get until reading an older post of yours this morning. I'm amazed that you can get any mowing done. I lived for a bit on the North shore of Oahu, which is much, much drier. I do love all of the microclimates in Hawai'i.

All the best,

Peter

Good Morning! 33˚F heading to the upper 50s with clear skies and N winds.

BIL had a terrible wreck on his motorcycle with an 18 wheeler yesterday in Columbus TX and was lifeflighted to Houston 75 miles away. Might be making a trip to Houston this week.

It is going good. Loving retirement. Getting a lot of projects completed.
Great to hear, Good to hear from you again. We visited the Age of Steam roundhouse last fall, that was a neat place.

Don, Praying for your BIL. Motorcycle vs 18 wheeler...that's hardly a contest.

That’s an understatement!
My encounter with a Hyundai SUV earned me a few months in the hospital, and a few weeks in intensive care.

I hope that he recovers successfully.

I have lots of aches and pains, and some limited shoulder movement, but i think it just accelerated the natural aging process.

You get more snow in Southern VA than what we get up here. Sorry about the pill mixup. Today's a nice indoor day, but was out for a few things. Even letting the outdoor cats in, but after awhile they want to go back out.

after being up at 2 am, did go back to bed around 8, and got a little more sleep.
Got all the bills paid for this month, some scheduled for the future.
Tiger asleep under the Christmas tree, dreaming away. Pebbles sleeping on the rocking chair, on some nice soft blankets. Snagglepuss and BB have been in and out today, Snaggy currently in the garage, not sure where BB went.

a BBQ place in PA near our breakfast spot had some more coupons for Roast beef, 2 for $8, and BOGO on pork sandwiches at $5, so after breakfast saturday we got 4 sandwiches for $13. 2 were Sat night supper, just had one for lunch. Hard to beat that price, and these are not small sandwiches.
We eat less and less hamburger. We do buy premade patties at Costco, but they are high in fat quantity. Grilling them is always a flame event that you got to pay attention to. Wife uses ground turkey in most dishes that would normally have ground beef. The last of our thanksgiving turkey is being put into a dish for supper.

got recycle taken care of.

Don, hope BIL recovers from the motorcycle accident

I blame my foot problems on the motorcycle accident years ago. Still have hardware in my leg from hitting a VW bus after it turned out in front of me. Many months in the hospital and long recovery
