There are hundreds of memorable roles there is not that many that I would call "special"...!

The only other one I can think of at the moment is:

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector (The silence of the Lambs)

I'm not forgetting a lot of the great roles...great is just not the same as "special"

I’m sorry, comparing the original True Grit to the remake is a travesty. What did Jeff Bridges do, fill his mouth with marbles to do his lines? I will admit Glenn Campbell was just so-so as an actor in the original but it is just so wrong to remake a John Wayne movie.

Another of my favorites is "The Asphalt Jungle", a heist story from 1950

This one is on Turner Classic Movies now and then.

The title of which reminds of The Blackboard Jungle (1955) with Glenn Ford that more or less introduced Sidney Poitier and was the debut of both Vic Morrow and Jamie Farr, then known as Jameel Farah.

Two later similar films also worth watching, Lean On Me (1989) with Morgan Freeman and The Principal (1987) with Jim Belushi.

It seems like most times there are usually two things that make a good movie, greed and vengeance, or vengeance and greed. They are the two of the biggest constants of humanity and in this best ever sifi movie it is loaded with vengeance >>> Star Trek II Wrath of Khan YouTube

Vengeance>noun, punishment inflicted or retribution exacted for an injury or wrong. The moral of this movie is never get caught with your britches down............
