I understand Kirt Douglas is not everyone's cup of tea but I ran across the Stargate movie and watched it again last night. I guess it was the movie that introduced the Stargate series. It was more meaningful this time having since read The 12th Planet by Zecharia Sitchin based on his work of reading clay tablets from Iran about their take of the early history of the Earth.

For what it's worth, I just saw that John Travolta's 57 year old wife, died of Breast Cancer. Very Sad. All that wealth couldn't save her. She probably had the best treatment available anywhere.

I and the wife are not fans of sci-fy,, but,, we did watch "The Shape Of Water",,

We both really liked it,, it is sci-fy,, but, not in the traditional sense,,

The movie box officed almost $200 million,, versus a budget of $20 million,,

That was the dirtiest R-rated movie I have seen in memory. But agree the story was good.

Right you are! Kevin Costner made several good sports movies that I like. One with Kelley Preston (Travolta).
Maybe a new thread for good sports movies?

The ant thread reminded me of Joe's Apartment. May be one of the stupidest movies ever, but it has a certain charm.
