They are pretty scarce around here and no local Deere Dealer.
If you try them both with a load you'll probably rethink the more low end thought. The diesel is a lot better of fuel but the 825i has gobs more pulling power and high end speed.

The 825i sounded like a Cessna going by... guess it is from the CV fan?
We have owned 3 Gators in the past several years. We pull 800-1000 pound snow groomers with them in the winter with Camoplast UTV Tracks installed. This is a very hard job for a UTV but the Gators handle it fine. The gas version works well for us, we never burned a belt. We keep them for 1,000 hours and sell them. The "automotive" 3 cylinder has held up well with automotive dependability but the exhaust and intake are a bit loud. The fuel capacity gives us 4-5 hours grooming on the newer Gators with the larger fuel tank. The Gators get used in the summer also hauling rock and dirt and firewood. We tried the Kubota 900 and 1100 RTV, even with an aftermarket turbo and they did not have enough power to pull our groomers. I really like the Kubota cab and HD frame and bed in the summer and wished it would have worked for us.

Great review...
We have not made a purchase... too many other things with planting season and getting ready for fire season in California.
took my 5 yr old grandson for a ride in a new 825i yesterday after work. we found some trails and he had a blast, kept
asking why i didn't buy one. i told him because we have a good machine already (an older HPX) but he thinks our
gator is too slow and bumpy so i should just get a new one!
