Mark,

Just look at the threads/posts. They all have trouble's. There isn't one tractor out there better than the other or we would all have one. I started out for Kubota. My dad's neighbor has one. Has lots of trouble with it but still claimed it was the best. But the Kubota dealer I went to bad mouthed New Holland so bad I had to go see one to see how bad it was. You know I really liked the New Holland and bought it. IMaturity on salesman part. He didn't have to say a thing and he would have ended up selling me a Kubota. But them sales people come in all colors. Anyway have a good time with your new rig.

Don't take this the wrong way.. as I'm a Ford / NH owner myself.

The tractor doesn't look much bigger than the JD you sold. Were you just getting newer.. or was the jd getting tired / wasn't setup for what you needed.

Soundguy,
I had originaly bought the JD with full intentions of selling it sometime after it was paid off. The actual selling of it just happened much earlier then planned.
The reason I was going to and did sell it, was to buy the NH TC35D which I wanted in the first place. The NH was not something I could have afforded 2 years ago, but the JD was.
I figured I could buy and pay off the JD, sell it, put the $$$ down on the NH there by making the NH affordable budget wise. So the JD was actually just a stepping stone to the NH.
I figured that while I had many working years ahead of me to make the payments on the NH I would and then once it was paid off it would last me a good 20 +/- years. I also figured that the older I got, the more I would want a newer more modern tractor with the nice walk through operators station, nothing to step or trip over, easy to operate, very user friendly etc. I am merely thinking of my Hopefully, many years of tractor owning ahead.
To answer your question of size. Yes the NH is bigger. The JD was 27 HP and the NH is 35 HP.
