Got the bx 1500 yesterday. Spent today tilling an acre field- for anyone who thought this unit is underpowered, think again!!! It's an animal- never hiccuped, and the tiller was throwing rocks out of the ground like they weren't even there. I think i'm gonna like this machine-i'm real hard on machines so this is gonna be a test for it!!

Congratulations! Those are nice tractors. I'm sure it'll be quite the workhorse for you. Keep us updated on how well it performs for you.

I'd love to get one as a second tractor to replace my 17 year old Honda lawn tractor...but it's still going strong and works almost as good as new, so I think it's going to be quite some time before I have to replace it. That's one thing...but a quality piece of equipment, take care of it, and it'll last years.

Just curious, what tiller do you have? The only potential "problem" I saw between a 1500 and 2200 was the 6 or so less PTO HP. It sounds like a non-issue from your description of tilling. Just wondering how big your tiller is relative to the 48" I use on my BX22 (formerly BX2200).

I got the kubota 37" tiller- i'll take some pics on saturday- i tell ya it kicked out a rock that had to be 80lbs!!!! i'm real impressed with the bx1500, seems like a real wprk horse- the real test will be the food plots on our hunting land, cause thats some rough country!!!! You had to see the tractor - all covered in mud, i just love it!!!!!

A tiller is no match for an 80 pound rock. You'd better check the hoes on your tiller.

ok maybe it wasn't 80 lbs- but it was the size of a small garbage can top and about 4 inches thick- the tines are fine, still look great no bends or anything, in fact they are still orange with a little scrape here and there- i just got a little excited, sorry for the exageration........

I'm glad to hear someone else has put their BX1500 to the test. I have now moved 31 ton of gravel and backfilled 500' of french drains. Now that I know the tiller or PTO is not under capacity, I can finally put any doubts to rest. My photos are way over 100k bytes each or I would post them. Congrats and enjoy!
