Got my new BX2360 yesterday!

Barlow's truck showed up around 0800 with the tractor, FEL, 4" blade, 4" rake. The driver spent 30 minutes or so with me going over procedures, etc.

It's rare to find good service at a good price anymore but Barlow's delivered. My local dealer, as much as I wanted to support him, offered me squat on a JD trade and was a good $1500.00 higher than Barlows. The transaction with Barlows was smooth, straightforward, and they made it clear they would do whatever they could remotely to assist. I'd buy from them again even if I had to drive 8 hours to KY to pick the unit up myself.

I'll post pictures later; this thing is perfect for my yard!

Are you saying you traded your JD to Barlow's for the 2360? If so, how did they value it, or are you close enough they could see it in person? I've assumed trading in with a dealer that far a way (in my case) would be problematic. I'm thinking about a BX25 and am not too happy with the trade in values locally. Been thinking I'd wait until Spring and sell it myself, if I do anything.

I agree Barlows is great to deal with. I hope you enjoy your new tractor.

As for the trade with Barlows I traded a B7800 in when I purchased my L3940. We talked about specs, hours etc. The only issue I had was a dent in the hood and some work light switches not working. I disclosed these issues and sent him a couple of pictures. He gave me a reasonable price for my trade and he picked up my old tractor when he brought my new one. He was about 2K higher on my trade than my local dealer, one of the reasons I went with him. I think unlike alot of dealers Barlows isn't afraid of used equipment.

I bought my BX1860 from a local guy because he was close to Barlows price. Two weeks ago I was having an issue with one of my safety switches and my unit not moving (I was having a problem with a safety switch). It was late of a Saturday I posted on here, Brady replied and emailed me some electrical diagrams. I had previously bought from him but this tractor came from a local dealer. So he was willing to help me out as best he could when I bought from another dealer.

I've never really dealt with Steve Barlow but I believe he must be just like his son Brady. The Barlows are a dying breed Genuinely nice people, who do what they say. Willing to help someone even if they aren't obligated or have anything to gain.

No, sorry. I did not discuss a trade with Barlows. I opted to sell my JD X300 locally. The local Kubota dealer offered me $500.00 for it; I sold it for $1700.00 a week later. I understand the market on used units has taken a hit.

The secondhand mower/tractor resale market for Dealers is poor.
It's not like vehicles , were there maybe a demand that is
somewhat predictable. It doesn't surprise me that you got
more as a private sale . How old/hours was the X300 ?

Congratulations on your tractor purchase. Remember people like to see pictures for proof.
I guess people could say I've had some experience trading with Barlows. It's a 10 miles or so round trip for them to come and appraise my trade in which they have never done. Steve (picture at the bottom) has always given me what I thought was a fair trade in. Sight unseen.
I had dented a grill screen on one and told him and I'd broke a rear light on one and paid them the parts cost on it for one trade in. I've used all my front buckets (wore off the orange) and they've been dirty when I've traded them.
With digital cameras and an honest reputation for buyer and seller, business can and is done at great disrances now.
I bought a Cadillac Allante off ebay one time and there were bunchs of pictures. Course the pictures were all of the good stuff and not the bad. When I saw the car I still traded but got a bit more knowledgable about long distance purchasing.
PS Look at that face and say you can't trust this guy!

It had 160 hours on it; a 2006 model.
