Got stuck yesterday

With the ongoing or just ended drought in Virginia, the pond is like 2 feet low. The mud on edges is dry and deceiving. I always try to cut grass with MMM too close to the pond and this time I got stuck - again

But I played it safe, once the tractor started to slip in the water, I turn it of, put the brake on and brought the jeep and chain to pull it out. I think it is time to get brush hog for that part of the land.

I won't even chance getting the tractor close to our pond edge, the wet soil is too soft all of the time so we use a walk-behind. We are trying to seed with low growing hard fescue & wildflowers to stabilize the soil without having to cut the grass or fertilize.
