Being a former owner of trucks and equipment, I've seen lemons, but that many problems on one unit in that little time??? That's got abuse written all over it. No wonder Massey won't back it up. Sorry if I offend, but come on... .

I've also seen "owner" operators that should in my oppinion only use two levers..........lever eh! and leave'er be!

I'm wondering also about all the broken parts. JD 2305 238 hrs w/bh,fel,tiller.
Knock on wood and very thankful no major breakages. Are you using high range most of the time for FEL use.??? Like one of the others stated put the bucket down when using BH ,that should help some.. I've only put 40-45 hrs on BH and maybe 50-55 hrs using FEL.
Either need to buy commercial grade or different Name on Hood or BOTH!!!!

Good Day, be good and be safe !!

I agree that it may not be the right machine for the job but how do you brake a steering rod? I abuse my tractor every time I take it out and have only broke the top link mount on the 3 point. It was 100% my fault. My tractor usually gives up if I try to do too big a job for it.

Things can be lemons. I have owned 2 lemon trucks in the last 6 years.

yeah you're right. That's why I took my time and compared $$ and specs for a few months before buying. The dealer is very reputable and recommended this one. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess:(

I broke the seat mount by sitting on it. Not being smart, but it the welds broke away and then I was tipped over against the shifters. I use low range for the FEL revving about 2000rpm. I think most of the abuse it gets is driving through brush but it should be able to handle that in low range. The steering rod broke when I was on a lawn. I didn't hit anything hard with it but it cracked of of the end of the steering cylinder. The shop welded one on off a Dodge Dakota until the new cylinder came in.

I will say i have a 1433 and have been very happy. My seat did rust out. I burned the clutch out because of lack of knowledge at the time. But it has been a great machine for me.

If i remember correctly the 1433/1533 jump up in the frame size. but i am not sure about any other upgrade for the size of components.

Sorry for your luck.

thanks, I think that is where I made my mistake, small frame/big power. The next size frame with same engine probably was the way to go.

Only broke the front driveshaft twice, front axle mount, rearend housing, stripped the PTO shafts twice, broke the seat mount, a tie-rod end, the backhoe mount on the subframe, several hoses and the frame(yes the frame). Been trying to speak with the regional rep. for 2 months now. Massey has refused the warranty claims the dealer put in for the housing and PTO shafts. With service and reliable parts like this how can you go wrong? Overpriced junk! I bought a glorified lawnmower. Nice tractor as long as you don't drive it.

sounds like a lemon built on a monday while the mechanic was told he was being fired ... :(
