Got about 4" of snow last night; then it started to rain, turning the snow into slush puppies. So I couldn't use the blower. A cabbed tractor is just the ticket for doing snow removal in the rain.

No pics but used my L5740 open station this morning @ 6am to clear mine and my neighbors drive. used the tracotor instead of grasshopper snoblower as the snow was very wet and sloppy and didnt want to deal with clogging the chute.
tractor with r4's did fine pushing snow and ice

Not enough "snow" to bother using the tractor here - it'd just stir up the ground and make it a muck hole. Busted out the shovels and rearranged the slush into a tasteful tableau. Sure wish it would harden up so i can venture out into our woods and bring in some of the fallen limbs that are scattered about. There's enough down that I won't need to drop anything for a year or two.

This slushy snow was something else. My neighbor's Kubota--in the pic--can usually do his 200-ft plus driveway in the time it takes me to drink a cup of coffee. Today, the snow broke the shear pin in the blower's fan. I ended up doing his driveway and three other neighbor's for no cash. I always say: When you own a Kubota, your neighbor owns one too!

Not much snow here in the Farmington area, maybe 4 inches or so after the rain. I still got the Grand L out and did my driveway and a neighbors who is out of town this week :D Nothing like a little tractor fun. Much easier plowing the snow then shoveling it by hand.

We had 10 plus inches overnight. This was the biggest snowfall since I got my tractor last year. The 2400 did just fine. I agree with the above - "Nothing like a little tractor fun.";)

It was definitely a good day to use the FEL to move the snow around here too. We had probably 4" of heavy slush, which the snowblower wouldn't have had any interest in moving. I even used the tractor to do the walkways, which I normally would do by hand.

We had easily 14 inches in Southern New Hampshire at the base of Mount Monadnock, and it is snowing heavily right now at 5:15pm. They are saying 20 inches by the morning. My wife and I have been out snow blowing, and clearing snow from the roofs of the house, barn, hay barn, and equipment shed since this morning, and putting chains on the 4-wheeler, snowblower, and tractor as well as a cab on the snow blower. I really need a PTO blower. I am ready to go out in shorts, and mow the lawn. I miss summer..

Well, that would explain all the cars jamming I91 Northbound two nights ago with skis & snowboards - rumors of snow! Local businesses must be smiling. 20 inches would have me wanting a PTO blower, too.

photo.JPGWe got about 8" out of Wednesdays snow storm and I got to use the atv for the first time. It did a great job and was fun to do. I push all the snow to the low side of the driveway and build a little snow ramp. The more snow we get, the longer the snow ramp gets. Looks like the forecast calls for 2-4" of more snow tomorrow:thumbsup:

We got about 8 inches of the heavy wet stuff here. I blew the top layer off and then scraped the icy stuff up with the bucket. Was out enjoying for about two hours. I had a couple small problems with the blower electrics and turn cable.
Not bad for the first real storm this year.

We got another 5-6" last night. I spent 3hrs on tractor today. I plowed our (gravel) church parking lot out and moved some of the piles of snow that another guy plowed on Thursday so that things will drain better when this stuff melts. It "DOES" melt doesn't it? (Low of 10F tonight). I had better luck with using the FEL this time -- but the grader blade on the 3PH did most of the work.
