I bought one of those…..absolute crap. Worked for about 2 minutes, but did break nicely when it hit the wall.

I think I've had mine 4 years or so.

I have had plastic screens on some of my Gerry cans for years, guys are getting their knickers in knots over nothing. The added benefit to the "flame arrestors" is it keeps dead flies and crud from inside your cans getting into your machinery fuel tanks.

BTW my 151 proof rum has a flame arrestor screen, my life hasn't turned upside down because of its presence.

Go back to worrying about secret microchips in medical vaccines.

The plastic cans i bought had these. The impede filling the can with gas. Typical nanny mentality in design, but rip out easy enough.

I have several five gallon cans and they all come with that. It is the first item that I remove when I get the cans home. Along with cutting off the stupid tab on the filler top that makes impossible to turn to remove.

Are you sure they're not metal screens. Plastic screens do absolutely nothing. Since they do nothing, it's not surprising your life did not change.

No, I only have metal screens inside the tanks on my portable equipment. I know this because I accidentally push them into the tanks on occasion manhandling full 5 gallon gerry cans. Getting the screens back out of the tank sucks.

Gerry cans just suck in general, the gerry can screens don't raise or lower the bar for me. I use an electric pump on my 500 gallon diesel tank. I don't use enough gasoline to warrant a large fuel storage tank on site.
