GPS data and Windows 10

I just got thru a very frustrating 3 weeks of trying to make a samsung tab A-8 push a Gps numbers thru to Autocad 2019 and it ain't gonna happen. I've used the GPScomplete 3rd party driver software with all the port configurations and the virtual port configurations. Has Anyone have any experience with GPS going thru Windows 10 with all the driver issues? bjr

How were you importing your GPS data into CAD before.

I am a land surveyor and import into Autocad 2019 all the time but I am also using Civil3d

I have a Mac OS. Mojave 10.14.4. I import GPS coordinates into a photo editing software program - Movavi Photo Editor 5. I've had to go to a third party software program to get a satisfactory import. The best I can explain - the software in Mojave is simply not compatible with the Garmin software.

I currently use GPSBabble and connect via Bluetooth. Don't ask me WHY/HOW this works. I had to have my son help me get it set up. My only fear - I will do something and foul it up. I know there must be easier ways - but this works, I'm able to use it - if it works, it doesn't need to be fixed!!!

Pretty much as I explained in original post. I seems to have been a Microsoft/USB driver issue as I was using the Tab A's USB power adapter to the computer. The Tab A showed up in the Device Manager. The "locate me" button in the Acad '19 was disabled and never could be used which indicated to me the Lat/Lon. numbers were not making it thru Win 10 to the Acad program. bjr
