I just took delivery on a new GR2110. One thing I have noticed is that if I raise the deck to the full up position, even with the engine left running, the deck drifts to the full down position after 5-10 minutes. Is this normal? Something that can be adjusted? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks - Already have an email into the dealer. Do you use a snow thrower with yours? I also purchased the GR2707 two stage...

While it is not the same machine, when I first took delivery of the G2160 , it also dropped fairly quickly. Only thing I could figure out is that it may of had air in the system as with time it slowed down. The cylinder is only single acting with pressure coming from the charge pump for the deck lift with gravity down and there was not a easy way to bleed the cylinder out.

Only thing I can say is if it keeps on doing it have the dealer look at it but the G2160 still does bleed down overnight.

No blower-can't justify the cost with no more snow than we usually get in this area.I hear it's a really nice blower, though.

The dealer showed up today to pick it up and see what is up - definitely not normal. I put about 5 hours on it over the weekend thinking there was perhaps air in the system - no dice. We'll see what they find.

Update - Called dealer today for an update, said their service manager was out, my sales rep was out, was supposed to get an update today from my sales rep and they would "try" and get it back to me by the weekend.

The person at the dealer did some checking came back and said "well our service manager looked at it, made sure the linkage was adjusted OK and called Kubota to see what to do. They are waiting on Kubota to call back, but that will not be until next week. We are really sorry that you are having problems with your new tractor"

Took three days to do this? This is my first time purchase of a "high end" garden tractor. Last time I bought a tractor was a Craftsman 20.5HP in 1998 for $2K and ran flawlessly right out of the box for 12 years. So I have an empty garage stall where my shiny new Kubota used to sit and my wallet is many thousands lighter.

Give me some help here guys, more bugs to work out on these units? I am not a real happy new Kubota owner right now.

Suggest you research (search) the GR2110 on this site. After - You might want to give it back to Kubota and look at one of their BX models. I did and have been extremely happy ever since.

How do I "give" it back to Kubota - do they have some sort of 30 day satisfaction guarantee?

Thanks for the input.

Can't say if they do or don't. My dealer recognized quickly that I was not a happy camper and offered to do whatever it took to make things right. He took back the GR2110, Kubota refunded all payments and he gave me a great deal on a fully dressed out BX2660. In my book, the BX series tractor is far superior both in structure and versatility. Even my wife recognizes the BX as the better choice and loves using it.

I did exactly the same thing. Only I got $500 less then I paid for it after a year of problems and he knock $1,000 off the BX2660. So far a happy camper.

Well - got the tractor back from the dealer today - they said there was some teflon tape in the valve spool - now the deck will stay up for a week - no problem. However, I was unhappy with the dealer repairs, they left hydraulic fluid all over the pump and frame rail, big mess. She is home now - guess I should be happy.

Well - that was my thought at first. But rather than have them tear down the whole hydraulic system, risking further contamination - i figure in a few machine hours I will change the fluid, cart filter and pull the suction pipe screen. Still have two years on the warranty to work out the bugs - hopefully this was the last and only one. Plus they made a mess of the machine when they repaired it, fluid all over the place, deck mat not re-installed correctly...

Decades ago when I began repairing my own semi tractors all the service literature strongly stressed the importance of using liquid teflon thread sealant on air brake systems vs teflon tape to avoid pieces of tape coming loose and getting lodged in a valve causing malfunctions.Never a problem-hard to believe everyone doesn't use it.
