grab chain length

3 hooks on the FEL, 2 in line with the lift arms and 1 centered, on the back, has worked well for me:

I carry two 10' pieces with me, both have grab hooks on each end.

I use 20' binder chain for lifting. The chain has higher load cap than the loader lift so it's safe. Any extra chain go into the bucket. Having too much chain is less inconvenient than having too little.
