Has nayone ever used one of these ? Looks like a larger box blade and the comcept looks simple. I am looking for the most efficient , easy to use leveler, spreader compactor I can find . WEuse a rake/blade combo now for doing driveways but there has to ba anext level of technology . Thanks, G

I have never used one presonally, but I have watched some of the landscapers around here use them. They seem to work great for leveling/smoothing. They don't do much for compacting.

I would love to own one, but can't justify it yet.

Several years ago my dad and I almost bought something very similar. It was a different brand and had scarifers in front of the two blades which are layed back and angled. Basically was a Grademaster with scarifers. The dealer said they use them in Louisiana to grade roads. I have never seen another one like the one we saw several years ago.

Any other takers on this topic. Seems that Harley rakes are getting all of the attention. What about these blades ?

I have seen them around here in 6' and 7' widths. I can't remember the price on them. If I remember right they were more expensive then a good box blade. They seem to work real well, from what I have seen.

I've used my Harley Rake for some minor driveway work. It seems to work well. My blade works well for general shaping. Around here things need to be crowned and shaped pretty well for run off.

I purchased one this summer from Agri Supply (http://www.agri-supply.com/) in Virginia this summer for around $800. It works great for getting rid of potholes but it also removes the crown on the road. Over all I love this attachment. I have a mile long gravel driveway and I can grade it to perfection in about an hour. Before I used this I had 6" deep potholes everywhere. I've learned that you can't use it when the ground is wet, the dirt clumps up. Other than that you just drag it behind the tractor at about 8 mph and let it do the work.
