Looking good. the caulk and rubber membrane is exactly what I would do. However I am a little concerned about the snow load and you just bolted the 2xby to metal.
I am sure its plenty strong, but it wouldn't hurt to add at least an 2x4 directly underneath the header on each end to give a direct point load on the wood to ground and not rely on the side shear strength of the metal. It would at least split the difference in downward force.
Great idea of combining the two bins and its well thought out. I like it so much if I ever have 2 grain bins, I'd do the same! :thumbsup:
