Grammar Air Ride Seat 5740

I have been in more jails, prisons than most people but never had to spend the night. It made me appreciate the fact that I did not want to do something I could get locked up for. Fascinating work though and met a lot of interesting people, most all very dedicated to their work

Great job on the fabrication looks better than factory wish I could get one for my 5240 as well, but kitchen redo has me completely drained. I'm sure you will get many hours of enjoyment from this mod. Great job 4-shorts. Having worked for a fabricator for 27 years that is some fine craftsmanship . TripleR you probably have seen some of our work.

Thank you very much. Every blue moon I seem to get it right  When I was doing it we were going through electrical black out rotations and I thought I'd never get it done :)
You sure had an interesting fabricating job

Yeah, it takes a special kind of person to work inside prisons. Many years ago, I spent way more time in them than I would have liked and they are really odd at night; can't really describe it, you would just have to experience it. My first job entailed going into and interviewing individuals both male and female in all our prisons, that was in the mid seventies every two weeks or so. My next job involved interviewing in county jails with rare visits to prisons and then only in the administration building or while under construction just out of curiosity.

No, I couldn't stand to go every day, but I have friends who do.

TripleR- you will love the air ride. I did my own using the original Kubota seat and thanks to Paul's original posted pictures. I know it is not the quality of Paul's work, but it didn't turn out too bad either. You will not believe how comfortable the air ride will be and makes the job that much easier.

Wow! Just beautiful work. That will take some of the thump out of tractoring.

Thanks so much. It was a pleasure to be involved getting it done. As for the head rest, If I remember correctly there was a part number for fabric and a number for vinyl. You should contact the distribution and ask for the replacement. Nothing ventured, nothing gained ;)

I contacted them and it will cost me $48 and take thirty days, I'm not sure I want one that bad; still thinking.

I can't wait to try it out. The fact that you were able to do it at all speaks well of your fabrication skills; sure wish I could do stuff like that.

It sure is nice and Paul said it wasn't quite up to his standards due to all the power outages. My sons and brother are decnt welders nd were just fascinated with the quality.

No, sure can't beat Paul as to his skills and willingness to help. mrmetalweld57 also used Paul's plans to install a seat on his L3940, owns a couple of businesses not far from me offered to do the modification, but he travels a lot and we couldn't work it out, lots of really helpful people on TBN for sure.

The downside is, I used the M8540 yesterday and it doesn't have air ride...
