Yes, there is one rear remote. It is either from the factory or installed at the dealer. Can you tell me more about the by-pass components needed and how to install them etc.? Thanks.

The by-pass I am referring to simply means eliminating the remote from the system. If you were to remove the seat and platform cover below it you would see exactly where the remote piping attaches to the 3 point valve assembly. The technician removed this piping and installed the blank-off plate that was originally there, this essentially removed the remote from the hydraulic system. I don't know that the dealer ever truly determined what was wrong with the remote but I didn't really care as long as the replacement fixed it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

The dealer did replace the remote valve with a new one and it now works correctly. The by-pass was strictly for diagnosis purposes. Also, I failed to mention my tractor is a L5030 GST, I doubt that it makes a difference but I wanted to mention it anyway. Is your tractor still under warranty?

Thanks once again for your continued help and info. The tractor is an 03 so no warantee left. Could you find out just a bit more info? Did your dealer find out exactly why one worked and the other did not? Was there differences in manufacturing dates, design differences? etc. etc. I just need info to give to dealer as ammunition for making my point. Thanks.

I asked the dealer if they had figured out what the exact problem was with the first remote but they didn't seem to have a clue. I think they were just happy to have found the problem and got it out of there shop where it had been for two weeks. Keep in mind that the easiest way to determine of this is indeed your problem is to remove/by-pass the remote as described in previous posts. I would hate for you to purchase a replacement remote only to find out the 3 point control valve was the problem. The service manager a my dealer told me that she had been with Kubota for 13 years and never seen this happen with a remote /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Sorry I can't provide you with any more detail. Good luck.
