Grand L 5460 vs 6060 Hp?

Is everything else exactly the same? I ask because in the MX series, the MX5200 comes with extendable lower links and telescoping stabilizers that the MX4800 doesn't. That and the turbo are the biggest differences, I think there may be some other differences too, so the engine isn't the only thing that makes up the price difference. When I was internet shopping it seemed like Kubota did something similar in other lines also.

Below are scans of the specification pages from the manual for HST Grand L60 tractors. The only differences between the L5460 and the L6060 are the HP and torque ratings.
All L60 series tractors come with telescopic drag links.

Optimal mass production encourages various shared components between MX series and the four larger Grand Ls, probably starting with the bare chassis, possibly including the four cylinder engine block.

The Grand Ls are assembled in Japan and arrive bolted on beautiful steel 'sleighs', less loaders/backhoes and wheels. I speculate Japan assembly is true for the MX series too.

Imperatives are the same for other Kubota segments and segments of all tractor manufacturers who plan to remain in business.




Kubota stock (NYSE/ADR: KUBTY) hit an all time high today, $93.76.

I got some seat time on mine today with a bushog and some hill's 7% grade with pretty tall grass that would bog my 04 L4330 down and this tractor didn't even think about,was trying to build some heat to get it alittle warm to help seat the rings and all but not sure I did.. Lol

Would love to find a 6060 ECM to see if its a plug and play item though.

As I suggested above: RPM.

The L5460 is rated at 46.5 PTO HP at 2,600 engine RPM.

The L6060 is rated at 53 PTO HP at 2,700 RPM.
