/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gifoooooo, bugstruck. That #1 thing seems a deliberate attempt to stir up trouble. I expect cowboydoc will be along shortly to administer your thrashing. Mind if I watch /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif?

Oh yeah, back ON topic:
1) My L4300 has the same name on it ("Kubota") as the highly touted and widely respected Grand L's.
2) It's also the same delightful color
3) I think it's got the same engine as the L4630, and it's a good 'un.

1. Power
2. HST
3. Quick attach bucket, heavy front axles, 4WD, and remote hydraulics.

1. Stability - It's weight and footprint make it very stable on my hills.

2. Power - It never ceases to amaze me at the work this tractor can accomplish. I've pushed over 10" trees that were 30' tall.

3. FEL - the bust out power and height capabilities of this loader are awesome.

if you had asked for 4 reasons i would have to add HST to the list. It makes it much easier to manuver on my hills, without having to mess with the clutch while trying to use the FEL or box blade or bush hog etc.....

my 5th would've been the R4 tires. They are so big. Fill em and they add plenty of ballast ...and I think they look cool.

( My silly list

1. It's not Ramon 49's L3130 underpowered disaster of a tractor.
2. I like lots of smelly smoke.

3. I prefer cheese with my whine.

On the L4330:

3) You can barely smell the diesel, even when its running inside.

2) Quick loader cycle times

1) Loader goes on and off in several minutes for better tight quarters maneuvering.

2004 Grand L-3130 with LA 723 FEL & TNT.

1. Plenty of power for a ~30HP machine.

2. Comfortable seat and large operator platform.

3. Excellent 3PT hitch design with lots of power and extending lower links (have TNT too).

4. GST transmission is first class, a joy to operate.

5. Water filled AG1 tires with wheels spaced out to the max gives excellent traction and stability.

6. LA723 FEL is a major workhorse with lotsa MoJo.

7. 3cylinder IDI diesel is instant starting, quiet, smooth, powerful (did I say POWERFUL??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ), and a super fuel economizer.

8. Digital display is real handy, especially the hours worked, and the real-time PTO rpm speed, etc.

9. Undercarriage is clean, not much to get hung up or destroyed when operating in difficult areas under difficult conditions.

10. RELIABLE, in 675 hours of extreme operation, not a single minute of down time, no warranty hassles, no problems whatsoever.

11. Good deal for the money, paid for it the day I bought it.

12. Oh, did I mention that it is POWERFULL....

I thought Kubota made their own diesel ??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

 / Grand L tractors…three things you like a lot. #18
They do, IDI stands for indirect diesel injection as opposed to DI direct diesel injection.

They make the entire engine, although the fuel pump, fuel injectors, and injector nozzle assemblies are all made by NipponDenso.

NO Diesel Engine Manufacturer makes it's own FIE, they are all sourced from BOSCH, NipponDenso, etc.

Ahhhh. Thanks for the explanation / education.

I now am the proud owner of an older Ford F350 with a 7.3 IDI engine. Still going strong.

I hope Cowboydoc spares me the thrashing. He can be pretty tough, but he's fair and straight, no doubt. So yeah, I guess that would be a good one to watch. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif After a re-read tonight I guess I was a little tough on the Green guys.

Fact is, I could have made one call to some old friends and easily carved those #'s in half. But that's not my way. Spent many a night with the guys who pay those Green sellers and they are a great, great bunch of guys. They also sell them one stacked on top of the other around here. Even in Kubota's strongest market sector. I'm sure they know what I bought and they know I talked to their people. The world isn't that big. Even gave their Bota store a shot. But I don't call on old friends for favors on pricing. Matter of fact we've never talked tractors or business. They win every day and I won that day. I'd say they're still ahead of me and if you ask what I think about the product they sell and the service they offer. It's as good as it gets. You already know what I think of mine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Am I out of jail yet? We'll see. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
