I知 in the market for a used Grand 40 series. I found what appears to be a clean one about an hour from me, but it has no remotes or third function.
On the third function, it looks like everyone likes the WR Long kit that costs about a grand. Is the factory Kubota setup cheaper or better in any way?
On the rear remotes, I am after 3 of them. I want to run a top n tilt and have a spare. I壇 like to add a backhoe at some point in time. I壇 also like the ability to run a log splitter on the front or rear of the machine, only to break up really big chunks, not for everyday splitting. Are there aftermarket options for these? Any clue how much the factory setup costs? I want to utilize the factory intended spaces for rear remotes if possible, I壇 like to set this thing up as ergonomically correct as possible.
Thanks in advance for any input.

I knew it wouldn稚 be cheap.... the machine is priced kind of high seeing as it lacks any remotes, no cab, no backhoe. I want one without a cab, as I have trees everywhere and I get on and off constantly. That said, there are some deals out there for units with cabs, I致e seen ones with cabs and hoes for really good prices.

Go on kubota's website and price out the options on a new machine that size and see what it costs should be close.....

You don’t run the backhoe from rear remotes.
$2500 - $3000 if you install yourself

Are they any viable aftermarket options for the 3 rear remotes?

Much easier installing the kubota ones that have all the pieces to fit exactly. I did the install on my L5030 and it was pretty easy. There are pics and threads on TBN.

To the best of my knowledge there are no 3rd party valve kits that make use of the factory valve lever slots. That's not to say that it can't be done, but be prepared to spend some time working it all out if you decide to go that way.

With your fitment requirements, I would plan on the factory Kubota sets. Just be aware that the Kubota valves are known to have some internal leakage which allows the cylinder to extend on it's own. Drifting rates vary from not enough to worry about to this makes the implement unusable.

On a side note, get at least 2 of the rear remotes with the float feature to be used with the T&T cylinders. ;)
