Does anyone use a grapple on their B7100,or a tractor of similar size. What I want is one that will mount to the loader bucket. My loader is a model B1630. How is it added to existing hydraulics? I notice there is alot of info on grapples but did not see many mentions on the control valve that is commonly used or where it is mounted.I don't have power steering so I would like to find or make one that is not heavier than it needs to be for this size tractor. Thanks Mike

i have a b7100 with a 1630 loader and there is a power beyond on the valve, you could run it off of, if that helps any

Wow, I have'nt been on for awhile so I didn't see this reply. thanks guys. I am still wondering what would be a good grapple for this size tractor. I suppose not to many people put grapples on this small a tractor, but It would be great to have one because of all the brush I need to pick up when I clear. Thanks again

M.Brown; I have the next model down from your loader(1620)and just started researching a grapple for mine.I noticed the loader control valve on my tractor has a couple of "plugs" in it which possibly would be access to the hydraulics "in" and "out".If you find any info before I do,please post and I'll do the same.Good luck. Bob.

I believe your right, there is a power beyond on the loader control valve now that you mention it.I was thinking I would like to have one of the electric over hyd controls that can be controlled with a button on the loader joy stick. Bob, I saw a setup on a bx kubota that might be the right size but did not catch any details on it.

I also put an ATI single cylinder grapple on my L3430 with 723 FEL, and have found it to not do what I hoped. I found that the best way to use it to pick up brush / limbs is with a trash / brush fork bolted to the bottom of the bucket and use the grapple as sort of an "opposable" thumb. There's nothing wrong with the grapple; it works as it should. I just didn't realize that stuff longer that the 6' bucket couldn't necessarily be picked up because the grapple does not extend beyond the bottom of the bucket.

I put the ATI single cylinder grapple on my L3130, although they suggest the double for my tractor, but would not have a problem putting it on my BX2230 or a B series tractor. I went with a WR Long electric valve, everything works pretty good.

What should I expect to pay for a setup like yours. (Grapple and the valve kit) The WR Long electric valve looks like a good way to go. Did you get the selector valve kit (the one with the red button on top),or the one shown at the top of their website page, electric over hydraulic kit. Its looks like these are two separate ways to control the grapple. Is that right? http://www.wrlonginc.com/valve_kits.htm
