You can't go wrong working with Dale. .

He seems to give premium service which is appropriate given the pricing on his grapples. Those are real works of art and state of the art. The Ferrari of grapples:cool:

Very nice. Do you have a true diverter that will allow you to curl and close at the same time?

IslandTractor: what are the disadvantages to the QA?

Well, I can lift and close at the same time but the curl function is what is diverted when the button is pressed. It's not another spool, just a different path for the fluid.

1) Expense: $600+ extra
2) Weight: 100lbs
3) Physics: Extends distance to implement by 3-4 inches which may not seem like a lot but given the lever arm it is another factor that also cuts total lift capacity.
4) Need to adapt existing implements by cutting of pin mount and welding on a QA adapter plate: Just a pain/expense but only need to do it once.

Those are the main downsides. Of course speed of changing FEL implements and adding the range of universal QA style implements are big pluses.

I forget whether you are using rear remotes or a diverter.

Diverter, I'm all set up with rear remotes and a diverter up front and don't own one hydraulic attachment, LOL.

I like the hose work 3RRL.

I talked to Dale at BoDozer this morning. One of my short cylinder hoses got nicked during shipping. Dale knew about it and called me up to tell me he was shipping a new one (actually two cause he wanted to make sure the other hose right next to it was fine). I told him about the slack hose issue and he is also sending me a thick plastic spring that will allow the hose to straighten when needed but spring back into a curve when slack. All this stuff he is sending at no charge. You can't go wrong working with Dale. Oh yeah, he is also going to send me a new joystick knob when he gets his finished product. It will have a BoDozer logo on it. It's been great working with Dale on this.
I am going to put another set of QD's where the main hoses are attached to the cross beam. For when I take my bucket off. At first I was not planning to take the bucket off ever and that's why the QD's are at the top of the bucket lip. But the forks I plan on building will have a side shift on them so I will need the other QD's.

Just a thought ... keep in mind that even if your springs allow free and proper flexing, those long hoses will still be a liability when your are mixing it up with a lot of brush. They have a tendency to get wrapped up in branches and such. Sometimes one will snag when you are backing out of a pile. Try to keep them as short as feasible to reduce that problem anyway.

Another note is that I bought a true third function WR Long solenoid operated valve. Unlike a diverter, this allows simutaneous movement of the fel, bucket and grapples. Since I was doing my own installation, I did not get the complete kit with hoses. I only got the valve, joy stick handle and rocker switch. I went to my local Kubota dealer and he ordered from Nelson Long direct. It only cost me $300 bucks...maybe under $400 for sure (I forgot exactly)

The valve is our part number VALDO3S2C12D-35
The Subplate is our part number VALSUBPLATED03
and the Handle is our part number G3-0100HANDASY4

Thanks for the business

Nelson
