Gravel Job with the 2305

This was a 15 ton gravel job I did this past Saturday, the object was to fill in a 3ft wide gap between the concrete and the fence. Once I got down to the shoveling by hand part it was suprising as to the weight of that stuff. Each time I would hit the pile with the bucket and tilt back you could tell there was some weight in there. My point? This compact tractor will suprise you with the amount of materials that can be moved by this machine! I love it

I discovered that with 10 yards of decomposed granite I spread. A full 53" bucket really put the strain on my 4010. Like you, I was impressed with the tractor. It did more than I thought it would.

Just one - I drove a 2305 at the dealer a couple of days ago, loved it, especially the smooth, quiet engine. BUT, it lacked about 1-1/2 to 2" of leg room to fit me. Dang. That 2" is probably going to cost me $5600 (difference $ to step up to a 3120). /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Take a look at my bottom picture in the first post and look closly at how small the 2305 looks next to me. If I have leg room then I would think you would be ok unless you are that much taller than me.

Yeah, Picker77. I guess you have no choice but to go for the larger machine. What a bummer.

picker77, Now that's a condition unknown to me, at 5',7", but I do like the reason to upgrade, because that would fly much better with the wife than my regular excuses.

If 2305 too small just wait until spring I heard the 2320 will be the same as a 2305 but bigger frame. That might be the right size for you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If it's just the fit that bothers you, it may be possible to change the seat or bracket. I have a different bracket under my seat that came with the Woods backhoe. I'm a little height challenged at 5'9", but with the seat in the "up" position (backhoe mode) I can just simply turn it around and run the tractor. Problem is, I can't reach the pedals. My son is 6'1" and he says it's much better than the original position.
