Are you trying to start an arguement..... if you put the holes up, then the water can drain into the pipe directly, but it will not be able to disperse the water that is in the bottom of the pipe... if you put the holes down, the pipe can drain, but won't fill as fast. If you want the best of both worlds, then drill holes at the bottom of the pipe before you install it with the holes up.... This alone should be good for an additional 15 - 20 posts....... and your opinion is????????

The holes are all around the pipe, not in one straight line, so maybe the argument can be avoided?? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was referring to the 10' lengths of rigid PVC pipe. Been a while since I purchased any, so they might have holes all around them now, but the last batch only had two rows of holes. I know that the black PVC tubing that comes in 50' lengths has small slits in the entire circumference of the pipe, but I don't like that product because it tends to get crushed by the movement of rocks here in the Northeast. When we get "frost heaves" on some of the roads, it looks like someone installed speed bumps for the winter!!!!!!
