grease fitting ???

I have taken a another zurk from the tractor and swapped them. They fit like they should. Because of this it turns our I don't have a real big problem, when I grease the tractor, I just trade the bad one for the good one.

The dealer mechanic told me they were 10mm zurks, but were a tight fit. I am guessing this is might not be right. The idea of "metric" thread sounds plausable, it just doesn't seem possible the dealer would not know about this, they have been selling Kioti's for several yrs now. I have tried metric, sae, from several other sources of zurks for the past year, so far, no go for a correct fit....

I have had the same problem. As kraftykeltic mentioned, they are metric pipe thread. They are tapered, and the metric ones are not. I could only get the fitting in 1 or 2 threads then it binds up, but it was enough to grease it though, then I put the mashed one back in to keep crud out. I have to give Wallace a call, I had spoke to Mike there about a month ago and he was putting together about a dozen or so Kioti fittings for me but I've been kind of busy to follow up.

The original package of metric aftermarket zerks that Wallace sent me did not work. I looked up the actual Kioti part numbers for zerks in the Kioti parts manual and ordered Kioti OEM zerks from Wallace which work fine. They had to order them in. I tried pipe thread, metric and sae aftermarket zerks but none worked. The Napa store said they did not carry and could not order Kioti compatible zerks. Since Kioti decided to go with such an odd ball thread on their zerks Kioti or their dealerships should make a part number for an assortment of a dozen or so Kioti OEM zerks. I am really liking my cheapo Harbor Freight battery grease gun. I broke the lever arm on my old pump grease gun. I wanted the Lincoln battery grease gun but so far I am happy with what I've got. I did put a Lincoln tip on it.
