Do you wait until grease is coming out of BOTH ends or if starts to squirt out of one end is enough?
I'm satisfied with any amount of squirting.Do you wait until grease is coming out of BOTH ends or if starts to squirt out of one end is enough?
Yep, bought similar one, but in red (M6), which fit my Zerks perfectly. My Lock&Lube can fit even in the recessed zerks with these installed, so all my zerks are covered now.I put these on every grease fitting. Keeps the dirt and debris off the fitting and makes the easier to see so I don't miss any when I grease.

I used these. The plastic ones I had before like the ones you posted kept loosening for whatever reason. These rubber ones I'll pull off and can easily clean with a dish of kerosene and rag.
No, grease coming out of the bushing is good, it tells you have fresh grease where it matters, and frequency depends on what type of job you are doing. Problem with front end loaders is that a lot of the time they are only doing bits and pieces, when you are doing a major job it is easy to start with a big greasing session. When greasing, if there's a bit of grease being pushed out of the bushing am I over servicing?
Also noticed the FEL hydraulic pistons are able to slide back and forth laterally over the mounting bushings. I've got about 35 hours on my new machine, is this normal wear as it breaks in?
