I took a peek at that dozer Eddie, and read that the hour gauge is most likely not the original. In the one photo you can se the drive sprocket, and the tooth is very sharp, so I am inclined not to believe that the sprockets are new. Just like you I am wary when someone goes to such great lengths to paint a machine up so well. Even the underneath. Being a dozer owner as you, I am a tune to such easy overlooked items that a first buyer would miss.
