An iced up Presque Isle entering the Duluth MN port this morning. This 1000ft long tug/barge is the largest on the lakes. I hope everyone can see where the bow thurster is located!

Drone captures the Great Republic downbound and the Paul R. Tregurtha upbound this afternoon on the west end of the Soo MI Locks. 1/11/25. I'd guess the Tregurtha with winter over in Superior WI.

Two vessels that break ice! The Tug Missouri taking a little swing by the Aerial Bridge to flush out the ice for the American Spirit departure. The USCGC Mackinaw moored at the DECC Dock, waiting for their next adventure in the Harbor! Duluth MN this morning.

I just messaged my lake boat buddy who retired just a few years ago. He may or many not answer that but I'd guess thousands per hour.
