The straw moving up and down in the tight fitting plastic lid makes "screechy" sounds. Sort of like a first time violin player makes on a violin.I don't get it.

When I was in kindergarten, my parents decided that I should play the violin. I didn't know what it was, so my parents pointed out a guy playing the violin on Hee Haw, and I thought it looked like fun.
At my first lesson, the teacher gave me a violin, and I immediately tore into it, just like I saw on TV. To my ear, I sounded just like the guy on Hee Haw, but I'll admit that's quite impossible.
The teacher immediately grabbed my bow, and he showed me how to play a straight open A string.
This struck me as quite boring, and I never really was a fan of the instrument.
