Actually, since the death of Rush Limbaugh, I hardly listen to the car radio any more...I hear enough commercials on TV...besides, I find I need to concentrate on my driving...maybe so I can see better?![]()
Yeah. Either that, or don't drive like a loon. In my area, it's common in hilly areas to have patches of gravel that have washed out from a driveway onto the road. That can be a very bad day for a motorcycle rider that is being too aggressive.I was talking to one of my co-workers about motorcycles years ago. He told me about the time he and a friend were riding on the rural backroads that were poorly maintained blacktop. They went thru an S curve as fast as they could - unfortunately the blacktop had deteriorated and it was nothing more than gravel on a hard surface. One of them lost control and flipped and ended up in the ditch. Fortunately, the rider was not severely hurt, but the motorcycle was. Moral: always check the condition of the road before you exceed design limits.
